The owner goes above and beyond any and all expectations one could possibly have. The guest house itself was better than all the other ones; trust me, I was in Nepal for six months. If you're going to Pokhara, stay at this guest house. There is a big space in the front to relax and meet other tourists and expats. It's also right next to the bus stop, meaning everyone passes by. In Nepal all of the other tourists are extremely open and eager to meet other tourists. This is hands down the best place to stay in Pokhara, and everyone in town knows where it is so you can never get lost. At night you can walk anywhere in just a few minutes. If you're going to Pokhara you cannot stay anywhere that is better than here. When I come back, I'm coming straight to this guest house.
Booked this family run motel for 3 nights because of the good TA reviews. Great location. A short walking distance to the Pehwa lake and shopping district and was next to a reasonably-priced Chinese restaurant with good food (which was almost full every evening). The motel owner, Mr. Chandra, was friendly and helpful. The room itself was very basic but clean. Wifi was fast and free. We kept the room (on the second floor) while going for an overnight trip to Jomsom and Muktinath. The included breakfast was simple but enough. It was a very good value for money stay.
We read reviews here and picked Karma guest house. From my initial communication to the last minute of our stay, we found Mr Chandra (owner) and his family very warm and always willing to help. It's 2 mins away from the lake and the chinese restaurant just beside the guest house serves good food :-). If i ever go back to Pokhara, i will definitely stay at Karma Guest house.
We read about Karma Guest House from Trip Advisor and booked it. We stayed here for 2 days. The location is excellent - just a short walk from the Phewa lake. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms are clean with Hot Shower. We stayed in Rooms 108 and 109 on the first floor. Windows permit plenty of natural light. They have a water filter near the Reception where we would fill our water bottles. We had 24 hour Wifi in our rooms, plus an emergency light in each room which would work during the regular power outages. This is a family run guest house and Mr. Chandra and Mrs. Jyoti are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here when we visit next year, This is Highly recommended.
I booked the Karma Guest House for my three nights in Pokhara rather sight unseen. Mr. Chandra corresponded with me immediately, and he arranged to pick me up at the bus station which was truly a help. I had a second floor room with a large terrace looking out towards the Himalayas in front. My mattress was rather worn, a fact on which I commented to the owners in a friendly way, and the last day there, they bought a new mattress and installed it!! The breakfast is basic but included. I ate dinner around the corner everyday at the home restaurant owned by Chandra´s sister-in-law, clean simple local fare. There was wifi, but a little hard to pick up on the second floor. The location is perfect for getting to the lake and up and down the main roads. The price is excellent for the quality offered. Met a few interesting travelers sojourning there as well. Family charming, accommodating, and not pushy with tours, etc. I felt at home and relaxed!…
