Wonderful garden , Krishna and the lady who works here are great , very friendly . The rooms need serious renovation . I stayed in off season initially as a group of friends . Later when I was going to stay longer I found them too expensive , wanting more than double what another nicer guest house up the road.... More

One of the cheapest I could find on pokhara, near the lake and Barahi temple. Very nice staff, very helpful for any need. Cool company. Overall a pleasant stay. I would definitely return there and also recommend it to anyone visiting pokhara 0000

I stayed here for 6 weeks this time 'round and previously (in 2010) for 3 months. The staff quickly became like family and were very helpful with anything I needed. If you take the time to get to know them they're all really cool guys that are always up for a laugh :) The rooms are cheap and clean and... More

This place makes you extremely welcome.I see that some people have complained about the bathrooms.I did not find them ditry at all, maybe asking the staff to look at the problem would have helped. As everybody says the garden is a good place to hang, people even come from other guest houses to chill for a while.Mattress's and pillows are good. They even have... This is a very nice hotel with a great atmosphere. I was planning to stay just a couple of days.. 17 days later I finally left ;) Great place to recover from trekking or just because you want to relax for a bit. Staff is very helpfull and friendly which made me feel like having a family here. The garden... More

Location is perfect with easy walk to everything you could need. Garden is also very nice for coffee or drink. Staff is helpful and atentive. But rooms and especially bathrooms are in desperate need of repairing and also cleaning. With few easy maintenance task this could be the best hotel in Pokhara.

Gauri Shankar is a small family business where they treat you like if you were one of them. The rooms are nice and affordable, some mattresses are better than others (have tried a few rooms) but they are going to change all of them soon. They don't have power all day, but all of Nepal is in the same situation!... More

We stayed at Gauri Shankar guesthouse in December 2015 and absolutely loved our stay! The staff are all extremely friendly, the garden is the perfect place to enjoy coffee and read a book, and the rooms have everything you need to be comfortable. They even organised a Christmas party for all the guests, including delicious food and dancing. Highly recommended,... More

Although a cheap hotel, the bathrooms were disgusting. I don't believe they have ever cleaned them. The rooms (beds) felt constantly damp. The towels had seen better days. The gardens were nice. The breakfast and coffee was reasonable. There seems to be a lot of the staff sitting around when they could be cleaning up the place. I understand their... More

Nice staff and they were very helpful. Filthy bathrooms I don't think they have been cleaned for some time. Cheap and worth paying more for something decent. Lots of dead plants to spoil the terrace. Not even nice in the courtyard.
