My fiancé and I decided to do a yoga retreat during our stay in Pokhara because our air tickets back to Iran were canceled due to Corona Virus. So we were accepted kindly in Sadhana Yoga Retreat. We wanted to get married in traditional way and The Manager of the place helped us a lot to do so, we went to a temple and we tie the knot. It was a beautiful experience and I really thank Durga for helping us to do so. Regarding to the programs of the retreat, as I’m a yoga teacher for years and I have been in so many places, they can do better, it was good but it can be much better than what it is, That place has the potential of being the best and very professional. I loved all the staff over there, they are very friendly and sweet. 🕉☮️ Thanks a lot everyone

I was here to do the 4 days silent retreat and it was a unique, inspiring experience! The atmosphere was super friendly. The program was a mix of guided meditation, yoga (including many breathing exercises), chanting and good food. All the teachers and staff are very lovely, competent and caring. I can only recommend doing it!

We did a 4 days yoga retreat to experience hatha yoga and meditation. We had a wonderful stay and were welcomed as part of the family. We had daily schedule and teaching by the teachers. We really enjoyed the place, the food and the interaction with the staff. We learned a lot about Nepali culture while doing our retreat. A big thanks to Durga and her wonderful team! We had a great experience and will remember Sadhanna yoga. Higly recommend.

Nepal is a kingdom of hidden oasis’ and this hillside gem is one of them with some of the finest sweeping views of Pokhara. I was looking for some afternoon meditation during my time in Pokhara and chanced upon Sadhana. I decided to give the afternoon retreat program a go which includes afternoon tea, kirtan (mantra chanting), yoga, dinner, followed by candle gazing meditation. As a solo traveller looking to take it easy, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon and end the day. If you’re on the hunt for peace and relaxation, Sadhana will not disappoint. Nestled high amongst the mountains, the sounds and surroundings of nature start melting away any stress and drops you into peace as soon as you enter the space. Durga, the owner at Sadhana is an outstanding host, welcoming you with the brightest smile and eyes full of kindness. She has the voice of an angel which will touch your heart space during kirtan (even if you’ve never done mantra chanting before). She’s a masterchef in the kitchen. Food there is lovingly prepared with the soul. You can taste the difference. Meals are delicious, clean eating and nourishing. The yoga was refreshingly authentic (this is coming from someone who’s been practising for over 10 years). Candle gazing meditation was new for me and truly something special. What a blissful nightcap to end the day. I had such a beautiful time here I ended up coming back 3 days in a row before my trek started and definitely plan to come back post-trek to decompress and for Durga to work her magic and put me back together again. Time at Sadhana is time well spent. You won’t regret it.

Some months ago I decided to experience yoga retreat, found a picture of Sadsana and fall in love immediately. I went there in the begging of March and spent 5 days. Experiment was rather hard at first day as I used to my own plans and my own schedule, but after I began to get pleasure. Sadsana has many things to love it for. 1. Amazing view from the terrace where we had tea and were speaking much. 2. Their teacher of yoga and meditation makes you calmer, teaches to sit in one position long enough. Every day we had different asana and it was the best decision for me – yoga wasn’t boring at all. More over we practice right breathing with exercises at the same time. Forget about yoga classes in your own country – in Sadsana they teach yoga isn’t only exercises for your body – it is more about style of living. The best experience ever. 3. Durga – the owner, will hug you with all her warmness and love, will help with any problems you have outside (as I had with my flight). She will teach you to be grateful for everything you have in your life and love yourself and the world. 4. The schedule seems too strict from the first sight, but as far as you have done it - you will be so proud of yourself and feel effect in every muscle and bone. This place is perfectly for those who are searching yourself, want some calmness and good yoga, get stronger and peaceful. Liliia, with love

I had an enjoyable time here. The yoga teacher Kamal and Sunder were great because they always made sure that no one stresses themself and they looked after the physical shape of everyone. The retreat offers different courses, I did yoga and juice fasting which was just perfect for my digestice system after eating a lot of unhealthy food. I felt absolutely refreshed after this great experience. On my last day Durga even gave me a little cooking course (her food is soooooooooo tasty) knowing I love MoMos (she served them for the other guests on my first day of fasting and I was so sad...) Thanks to all of them! Aisha for the hug and Maya for always smiling... So if you are looking for an amazing place to practise yoga you should go to Sadhana Yoga Retreat because they make you not just feel at home you even have a gorgeous view over Phewa Lake!

I did the 4 days and 5 nights silent retreat. It was a really nice experience. So good to just focus on yourself en go deeper within. If you feel like doing it, do it here. The program is diverse and you have some time off as well to even reflect more if you want or just take an extra nap. The food is really good and chanting is so special, Durga has a beautiful voice! The yoga teacher is really good, takes the time to focus on breathwork a lot. Thats something now a days a lot of teachers dont even focus on anymore and see yoga more as a sport.

This place is simply wonderful! I spent there ten days doing Karma Yoga and I loved it so much. The house is beautiful, the view over the lake literally breathtaking, the yoga and meditation practices enriching and the people genuinely among the most loving and caring people I have ever met. And I haven't even started talking about the food yet, which is beyond great. By now I have been traveling for quite some time and I haven't come across many places that feel this much like home, in the best sense. The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. Inspiring to become a better version of oneself somehow. Not sure what I was looking for, when I searched for a yoga retreat, but whatever it was, I definitely found it here. I learned so much more than just yoga and meditation. So much to take with me from these couple of days spent there that I will always hold very dear. My body and my mind feel well nourished and stronger than before, my heart feels full. Cannot really express how grateful I am to this place and these people for all of it. It is wonderful there, I would recommend everyone to at least visit for a few days. So much love.

Amazing people and place. You will come out rejuvenated! Beautiful location. Lovely accommodations. Very welcoming and supportive staff. I felt so refreshed after the retreat. Lighter and healthier. It gave my digestive system a break and the yoga and meditation is great. It’s intense, but the challenge was rewarding. Durga even sewed my pants for me ❤️

We had a nice 4night/3 day stay at the retreat, we observed silence whilst being there and it was a very interesting experience, everybody is very nice and accommodating, the food is great and so much of it. We were the only guests which was a great plus as all the lessons, meditation and yoga, were adapted to our skill level and continued progress. It was winter in Nepal so it got quite cold at night and the shower was not hot but rather lukewarm. All in all it was a great experience and we learned a lot!
