From the time we arrived until we departed, we were treated better than family! Our room was very comfortable. We ordered breakfast that was promptly brought to our room. Even when the airport closed on our day of departure, Hotel Guru allowed us to stay one more night! We were treated with great care.
Hotel Guru was a great base for our family before and after a trek in the mountains. The beds were comfortable, and the hot shower was a blessing after days away. The location is also good - close enough to Lakeside shops and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet.
If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay for holiday or to begin and end your trek as we did, you definitely want to stay at Hotel Guru Hotel Guru has 15 rooms and the ones we stayed in were large enough to accommodate 4 people. Very clean and well appointed. Also convenient to shopping and dining. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Mr Guru made us feel welcome and personally took care to make sure our stay was outstanding.
Came here after the Annapurna circuit, booked 4 nights first, then prolonged for 2 more nights, then one more (just for good measure ;) .. would stay even longer of we didn't have the darn flights back home. The owner and staff are great, rooms spacious and tidy, not to mention super hot shower and AC. After a long trek this is I believe the best you can do for yourself.. especially if you want to avoid the noisy lakeside but still want to be close to the lake.
Brilliant place overall guru himself is excellent at advising he’s very straight up and won’t give bad advice on Treking as he is a guide himself, private guides ask for tek he’s excellent we had him for 10 days on Annapurna base camp circuit he knows it inside out and has great knowledge of flowers and natural environments The rooms are excellent clean with heaters ac and great views all around of the mountains showers are great always warm Breakfast always good and a beautiful garden sit down area is great for chilling and relaxing Had a great trip thanks to guru hotel
