This is a great hotel in Pokhara with lakeside nearby and mountains views, its clean and well run with lovely staff that spent time to do some henna tattoos on my daughters,we stayed in a family room with bunkbeds for the kids and large doublebed cabke tv air con and fan, breakfast is included in the price and is very nice and simple they also serve excellent karma coffee
Good location, near to the main attractions yet peaceful and quiet. Great views from the rooms. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good. Don't miss out the coffee corner if you are a coffee drinker. I loved it and can't wait to stay there again.
Located in the heart of Lakeside yet down a quiet side street Hotel Karuna is the perfect place to stay as you explore all that Pokhara has to offer! Modern and super clean with warm welcoming staff, piping hot shower and air conditioning/heating (not to mention the affordable prices) Hotel Karuna is truly a 5 star experience and my new favorite hotel in Pokhara. Highly recommended!!
Stayed two night with my elderly parents and on realising that they didn't have a lift, Kelly offered them a room on the first floor. My husband had a very important video call and even though the wifi was patchy Kelly did say she could restart the routers beforehand Good stuff - Comfortable rooms, hot showers - Super delicious breakfast - Walking distance to shops/Lake Phewa - Friendly staff Watch outs - No lift so if travelling with elderly ask for a floor on the lower room - Wifi was a little patchy at times so maybe not 100% ideal to work from there ( but who does that anyway)!
We spent two nights at Hotel Karuna before our trekking and decided to book a few nights extra after our trekking. We really loved the hospitality of this hotel and the kind staff. They gave us advice about the trekking and recommendations for the after-trekking massage, but also informed us about the small lockdown because of the elections. A big pro is the sustainable character of the hotel: free drinking water, room cleaning when necessary, local coffee and home made soap. We really recommend this accommodation :)
Yesterday May 14 late night, we came from Varanasi India with family, the mode used by us was our car and driver. Normally like any Three star hotel we expect them to have at least some kind of room for drivers to sleep at night none was available will be coming back later on this. After that the room provided to us was one without any view and windows were overlooking other Hotel Rooms completely if you get the wrong room like mine. Else good but with very low height balcony take care of your child do check that. 0 Star They don’t have lift in the hotel so take care if you are a having health issue I got room on 3rd floor my friend suffering with osteoarthritis had to walk slowly on stairs and took painkillers. They do not even bothering to call us our email us unlike other hotels which we visited earlier enquiring if we need special care like my friend They don’t have restaurant which can serve you food except complementary breakfast which they serve in morning. If like me you travelled from far of distance and reach late at night you will go hungry. Thankfully we stopped and took our dinner before while coming to Hotel Karuna on first day and on second day i asked 🙂. I am fine with all taking care nature which is our moral responsibility but it’s also important that management takes care of basic soft skills, and be humane especially with non Nepali guests. I would share few things Refer to earlier comments coming back to that firstly on day one we requested to the reception guy that do you have any room for drivers like what we normally get in India, here they don’t have such facility on day on after intense requesting for 45 mins reception guy agreed with us that he would let the driver sleep downstairs in lobby. Second day rather than saying anything with us nor anybody informing the same guy said he can’t let the driver stay but after again another 45 mins of intense requesting he told us that he would let him stay after paying ₹ 500/- per day which was really weird. He told us that yesterday night he was not able sleep as he was afraid of theft. As if the driver was thief we were shocked. Don’t know what say on inquiring he said owner is Canadian national than said Nepali national don’t know what to say. We tried taking the photo of the guy he was afraid to his core. Giving justification that his boss has seen the cctv and reprimanded him. Is that was the case someone would have definitely spoken with us. We booked this hotel after checking out reviews on tripadvisor but whole experience and bad customer service left us with bad memories of Pokhara in the end. Book this hotel after careful consideration…
Everything is great. Recommend for all. Room bathrooms balcony hotel just awesome neat and clean. Hotel staffs very polite. We enjoy our honeymoon trip. Lovely place. Peaceful place. Buffet breakfast awesome. Next time definitely I will be chose this hotel. Good behavior and and great location.
Ok, so before I start my review this is a hotel that is very affordable therefore don’t expect 5 star quality! There are some things I thought could have been slightly better but IT IS EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY so I cannot grumble! Hotel overall: lovely concept focussing on Eco and zero waste which is nice. Entrance is very welcoming, lovely area to eat breakfast or enjoy coffee and lounge type part. Reception and tours desk all on hand. Also location is so quick from lakeside and has a resident turtle! Room: clean spacious and a little outside balcony area which was nice. The only slight downside was the bathroom but only because it is very simple however clean! Showers aren’t that powerful but hey you can’t have it all. Loved the reusable soap/shampoo bars and even brought some to take home! Smell divine! Breakfast: Quite small selection but when they make waffles.. OMG! So tasty! The coffee is also ridiculously good being local and organic.. a station to follow the steps to brew your own cup! Really cute! Staff: Super helpful, friendly and great with children - Helping my daughter to feed fish and turtle! Also managed to assist with my taxi at 04;30am to catch sunrise at Sarangkot! Thank you! Overall a lovely little hotel, super value for money and will recommend!…
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff…and the coffee! Enjoy the breakfast. Loved our cozy double room during our Pokhara stay. We plan to stay again on our next visit. The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. Nirmal, a staff member, made us feel especially welcomed. Highly recommend!
My go to place to stay in Pokhara! I stayed several times over a period of five weeks and every time did not want to leave! The place is beautifully done out - modern, calm, natural, and light. All the staff are just lovely and treat you as if you're their favourite guest! The free breakfast is absolutely delicious. The location is perfect - very near the main hub of lakeside but set back enough that you don't get the late night or traffic noise. And icing on the cake is that they truly live up to their eco credentials, including free filtered water you can fill your bottle with and homemade eco soap. Fantastic job team Karuna!
