We stayed here in the family room. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and professional. Good Covid-19 precautions throughout. Fantastic waffle breakfast and great coffee. The staff were fantastic with the kids and allowed them to help clean the turtle pond.

I came with a group of friends for a personal retreat time. The staff was so safety conscious, with masks and cleaning. It is a truly beautiful hotel with thoughtful details that really set it apart from other similarly priced hotels in Lakeside. Also, the waffle for breakfast was amazing!

I have stayed at Hotel Karuna numerous and they’ve always been great. Specifically during the worldwide pandemic and the lockdown in Nepal, I’ve frequented this hotel often to relax in the comforts of Lakeside. I don’t have anything negative to say about this place. The staff are effortlessly friendly, the rooms are always comfortable (even more so than more expensive hotels in the area), the establishment is clean, the lobby is inviting, and the hotel always has a fresh scent about it. The location is convenient as well-Close to the main street of Lakeside, but far enough to be away from all of the noise that goes late into the hours. Less than a 5 minute walk. During the lockdown, the staff make me and my guests feel at home and even invite us for homemade dal bhat in the evening if the restaurants have closed earlier than my liking. Specific thanks to Balaram for always helping with accommodation and questions. I highly recommend Hotel Karuna if you are looking for a place thats comfortable, clean, and affordable compared to the more cushy hotels jn Lakeside.

This is my third stay at Hotel Karuna and I love it. Modern and spotlessly clean, the huge rooms have piping hot showers and comfortable beds with high quality linens. But one of the best things about Hotel Karuna is the people. Warm and welcoming the staff truly loves what they do and it shows. A special shout out to Hotel Karuna for their care and concern for me during Nepal's lockdown for Covid-19. As a long term guest and full time traveller I decided to shelter in place in Pokhara and it was such a relief knowing that I was in good caring hands. A heartfelt thank you, Hotel Karuna! Namaste!

We spent a significant amount of time at Hotel Karuna. All in all 3.5 weeks in several chunks. The place: The hotel is comfortable, very clean, well decorated and well maintained. The rooms are quiet and roomy and bathrooms are clean and functional. They serve a great breakfast along with outstanding coffee and have teamed up with a coffee company called Karma coffee to offer delicious coffee ethically sourced from local growers. The location: the location is ideal. Tucked away a short walk from Lakeside, it has great access to all of Lakeside without the noise and the busyness. There is a great little garden in the front to sit and have coffee. The staff: it simply outstanding, they were so helpful, caring and efficient. It felt like a second home for the time we were there. They were very helpful in finding what we needed whether it was a reliable guide, places to eat, or groceries for a long hike. Overall it was an outstanding stay and it was the perfect location. It is a great place to stay to either spend time in Pokhara or as a base between Himalaya treks.
