We stayed in this hotel before and after the trekking, organized by the trekking agency in Kathmandu (Trekking Team Group) . When we consulted TripAdvisor, we were shocked first of the previous reviews. But after our stay, our opinion: Situated in a quiet neighborhood with a peaceful garden. It is a short walk to the true center (10 minutes), but...

We stayed at the Hotel Kantipur pre- and post-trekking in the Annapurna region. This place was arranged via our guide. The first leg of our stay, we were put in a room that the shower was disgusting. Honestly outdoor showers on the trail were in better conditions. The hotel offered to lock up our stuff that we did not need...

We stayed in the hotel on 05 Sept/07 Sept. 2011 on the way and way back from muktinath temple. Location and garden in front is good. food was reasonably good. .only the stair case for front rooms on the first floor is not comfortable for elderly.

Agree with previous (poor) reports on this hotel. Although externally looked good, internally terrible - towels dirty and blood-stained - could not use and when reported to receptionist - not interested. Salamder running across wall and cockroach ended up in luggage. Location not bad and some of staff friendly but food/ drink awful and pricey. Disappointingly, did query this hotel...

Best about this hotel is its wonderful garden, where you can spend whole afternoon, weather permitting. Rooms are pretty big, but quite wearied out. Bathrooms as well dont function as they were intended. I cant say anything good about breakfast which was served in basement of hotel.
