I stayed here for the night before and night after a trek into the Annapurna area. The hotel is close to every time of food restaurant that you wish. And the breakfast was nice. Rooms were clean and tidy and was warm. The area was quiet untill the new year celebrations started nearby but that was a great experience!

We returned to Mum’s Garden for a week of relaxation in Pokhara after trekking. The rooms are spacious and well designed, clean and comfortable, with really hot showers. The hotel is a few minutes from the busy Lakeside Road and is quiet with a garden to relax in. Good breakfasts and friendly, efficient service. Evening meals available or short walk to numerous restaurants.

I booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor ratings and its location off the main road. It doesn’t suffer from the traffic noise like the hotels on main road but the first night we were in a room adjacent to motorcycle parking, which was quite noisy. The management kindly moved us to a quieter room for second night. There is building construction going on next door which is noisy during the daytime, but there is a lot of construction in other areas of town too. The hotel seems a bit rundown and neither of the two rooms we stayed in were adequately clean. For example, both bathrooms had toothpaste spray on the mirror, shelf and adjacent surfaces; tea cups looked dirty. Breakfast was the most minimal of what we experienced in two weeks of Nepal hotel stays. On plus side, staff was pleasant and rooms were sunny, nice outdoor seating area.

My grandson and I stayed in Mum's Garden in April this year prior to, and following, the short trek up to Ghorepani, before travelling on to a jungle park in Chitwan. Mum's Garden is a superb hotel - clean, quiet and with excellent food. It is located only a few minutes walk from the Lakeside area which is one of the Pokara's main tourist attractions. The owners and staff were friendly and courteous, doing everything they could to make our visit a success. No hesitation in recommending Mum's Garden to travellers.
