We had a wonderful stay at Kasthamandap Boutique Hotel. We stayed for 12 days and could not fault our experience. Friendly staff, impeccable house-keeping and a great breakfast each morning. It's in a quiet corner of Thamel and feels like an oasis. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 1 night. I have to say it’s one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Kathmandu. The location is great as it’s in a quiet area with restaurants and market close by but just a 5 walk to the busier areas. Our room was an excellent size and had everything we needed. The Breakfast was Fabulous, with both Asian and Western options. But the thing that makes this hotel special is it’s staff; they are so friendly and welcoming and make a real effort to make sure that everything is as you want it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I picked this place because of the central location in Thamel and great price. Tough luck. In the evening, I turned on the shower for over 5 mins and still no hot water. I then went to enquire the front desk who asked me to wait for 30 mins, they immediately turn on the heater. After about half hour, I tried and still got no hot water for shower. I went down again for enquiry and this time the front desk staff came to my room, turned on my shower for over 10 mins but still the water was at most slightly warm. Finally the staff found out that the switch for hot water on the wall above the toilet cistern had not yet been fully turned on. He turned it on fully and I finally got water enough hot. Because of the hiccup, I nearly skipped my dinner and had to rush to the airport. The room is well equipped and clean although cramped. My room is a twin room. The staff behaved politely and tried to assist. Locationwise, 7 mins walk to the main crowded street with lots of shopping/ restaurants in Thamel. Strategic. …
