Located in proximity of Fairfield Marriott, AryaTara is small boutique hotel that offers excellent value for your money.

We took big room for $28 including breakfast which is very reasonable compared with other hotels in Thamel area.

The rooms are big and sunny. There is hot water and air conditioner. The staff always help you with friendly smiles.

The place is next to Thamel area yet located in alleyway thus avoiding noise and pollution to a reasonable extent.

I had a wonderful time at Aryatara Hotel. Arrived in Kathmandu late at night, had no issue finding my Hotel Pickup staff outside of the arrival hall of the airport. Hotel pickup costs USD10. They accept USD at hotel reception too. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by staff and a welcome drink. Staff were very accommodating, a quiet location and a very big room (booked a double room) with ensuite. Room and beddings were very clean, was given 3 big bottles of complimentary water, bathroom was very clean too. There was an AC unit for heating and cooling. Breakfast buffet selection was okay, staff were there to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Highly recommended.

This hotel provides a wonderful buffet breakfast, and very tasty lunch and dinner options for a good price.
The rooms are spacious and clean with good water pressure in the shower. It is down the lane from The North Face store in a safe area that I walked back and forth in the evening with no problems - as it is convenient to amazing shopping and access to ATM’s. Please be sure to stop in the book store just down past the North Face as the owner is a wonderful helpful person and his selection of books is amazing - I was able to purchase a few children’s books that are about Nepal as I like to bring back at least one children’s book on every trip I take .

The hotel staff were very friendly and when I had a late flight I was able to store my baggage so I could still enjoy my last day in Kathmandu and not have to take all my bags with me, and the room rate was very good and it included the breakfast buffet as well.

this is one of the best hotels I have had a chance to stay in. been to many budget friendly hotels in Nepal, but by far this has been the best. It's located in a great spot for anyone to stroll around Thamel and the hotel itself has a very refreshing environment. would recommend it to any one wanting to have better service and a great value of money.

The Good:
1. We booked 2 family suites, rooms were very spacious, there were 2 single and 1 double bed, 2 TVs and 1 bathroom. It was 2 rooms combined.
2. Hotel staff was helpful, breakfast buffet was ok but they made really tasty omelet on demand and Masala chai was amazing too.
3. Housekeeping was done when we were away sightseeing and a lot of towels are provided and replaced daily.
4. WI-FI was great and worked in room as well as in the reception.
5. Hotel has great and positive vibes about it. It was peaceful yet bustling with activity.

The Bad:
1. Our bathroom shower was not working on first day and there was some problem in bathing. It wasn't quickly fixed but they fixed it later in the day.

The Ugly:
1. Our room was on 3rd floor and there are no elevators. Senior citizen in our family had a a bit of hard time climbing those stairs.

All in all, I will definitely recommend the hotel at this price. (We booked 2 family suites for 3 nights for 7 people for roughly $255)

I stayed with a group of 8 from Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Poland at Arya Tara hotel in Kathmandu for two nights. I like this hotel, because it is still kind of traditional. Next door you only find Marriott and other big chains which have absolutely nothing to do with Nepali tradition. When you enter the hotel, the first thing you do is spinning the prayer wheels at the entrance. 🙏🏽 The rooms were excellent, hot reliable shower, breakfast included and every service you required was there. Wifi was also stable and fast! They even organized a private jeep transport for our group from Kathmandu all the way to pokhara. By far the most comfortable way to travel Nepal’s streets. I can highly recommend this place.

Well located in a quiet street so even if on the centre of Kathmandu - Thamel - where you want to be - you have a silent place to sleep.
The staff is helpful and breakfast is nice. Bathroom has a separated shower area which is a plus comparing to other hotels on the same price range.

This place is neat, clean, and welcoming. The staff are courteous, polite and helpful 24/7. Been here for three days and never found a street cab that didn’t know where it was. It’s affordable and the breakfast is nutritious fresh and varied. I will be back next year with friends. Thank you and Namaste 🙏🏼

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Annapurna Base Camp trek. The hotel is nice and clean with a friendly staff. They also have a large area to store suitcases for trekkers. The room was surprisingly large with plenty of room to lay out all of our gear. The rooms also have air conditioning. I've seen complaints about the hotel being noisy, and that might be because they leave the windows in the rooms. With the windows closed, we didn't hear any noise from the street below.

I stay here with my family from Bangladesh to spend our holiday here in Nepal. The staff here in hotel are very friendly specially the manager “Meghnath” who entitled me as Dai meaning brother in Nepali Language. The rooms we stayed we clean with daily housekeeping done well. They served us with their special Thali Set for meal and additionally we very much enjoyed the sizzlers & steak in the restaurant.

There's a tea/coffee maker and some sugar and tea bags in the room for free. There's a dryer in the bathroom along with soap, shampoo and body lotion that's for free. obviously you gotta return the tea maker and dryer . There're no fruits in the room. If you include breakfast in your stay then there's a buffet system and there are fruits in breakfast so you can have as many as you want.
