Stayed in this hotel for a night. Located in convenient Place for travelers as its just laying opposite of airport. Approximately 2-3 minutes of drive. Easy accessible. They have also free of cost shuttle service for hotel guests (got to know upon checkout only) and avail this facility upon checkout. Quality of food (ordered room service) and breakfast (dine in) was awesome. Server at the restaurant was very decent and hospitable. Room quality is competent enough. Staffs at the reception and room service are friendly and helpful (upon request). could be even better if someone would have anticipate to help with my luggage upon check in. I didn’t ask for though! Overall, nice budget hotel for solo or couple travelers. I do recommend this place for everyone. Thank you entire crews!…
This hotel is 5 minutes' walking distance from the Internal airport and about 13 minutes walk from the Domestic airport. It is located on a main road. Pashupatinath temple is just a twelve minutes' walk from the hotel. The room and the linen were clean. The bathroom had a few chipped tiles and the wash-basin had cracks but the basin was not leaking. The bathroom was clean. Hot water was available day and night. The hotel has a restaurant with a good variety of dishes. The best part of the Hotel is the staff. Ms. Rosti Suwal (Receptionist) and Mr. Suraj Neupane (Service Staff) deserve special mention for their highly professional attitude, guest-relations and integrity. The Housekeeping staff were also very polite. Such excellent and well-behaved staff would be difficult to find even in a 5-Star Hotel. Every member of the staff, including the Security Staff were always ready to help, with a cheerful smile. I had all my meals at the hotel. The food was good. There are several good and clean restaurants on either side of the hotel and on the opposite side of the road as well. This is an unpretentious hotel, clean and tidy. I prefer this hotel, its location and staff to the hotels in Thamel. I will certainly be patronizing this hotel again on my future visits to Kathmandu. (Amit Banerjee)…
We had a long layover and this hotel was the best option to spend the afternoon. The rooms are ok, you have AC, a kettle, TV (no English channels) and WIFI. The hotel is cheap and right across the airport (2 min by car, 5 min walking) definitely better than spending the day at the airport.
very friendly and helpful staff made this an extremely pleasant stay...clean,good Wifi, hot showers and good breakfast.. Fast and easy to the airport.. free pickups and drop-offs too. Definitely will stay here again if in area!
The hotel is close to the airport and very conveniant if you have to catch an early morning flight and want to avoid the traffic jams in Kathmandu. The hotel provides a free pickup service from the aurport. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. Even though breakfast only started at 7:00 AM the hotel staff prepared us a delicious breakfast at 6:30 AM so that we could catch our flight. That is good customer service!
Whenever I leave and arrive at the Nepal, I stay this hotel. Because location is really good. Near the airport, near the bus stop. And good hot showers. Elevator,Wifi is good. Breakfast is too. Room is clean. Good hospitality.
Our flight to Pokhara was cancelled, so we were forced to find a hotel. We preferred one near the airport. The hotel information booth at the airport recommended this hotel and charged us $70 which we felt was a very high price. He had a taxi driver take us to the hotel, only we were taken to a different hotel. We feel this was a scam. So we insisted we be taken to the Airport Hotel. It did not look like the photos shown to us but the staff was friendly. We were given a suite, but the carpets and furniture was very very dirty. The bedding looked clean. It was difficult getting anything to work. We had dinner there which was good but high priced for Nepal. I would only recommend as a last minute necessity to stay close to the airport for an early flight.
The hotel is a decent choice for it's proximity to the airport, but there are better places to stay in the city. The person who checked us in was courteous and professional. Noting our early check out he asked us if we'd like to have breakfast to go, a welcome suggestion. A plus is a free pickup from the airport. While the hotel is just across the street, it's still a bit of a ways down the hill, and if you're arriving late after a long flight you might not want to deal with walking. There's also not much around the hotel to do/eat at night.
I stayed at this hotel in September 2018 when I first arrived in Kathmandu and again in October before I left. The short distance to the airport is a definite plus. Each stay comes with one complimentary airport pickup OR drop off, NOT both. Given the short distance, if you hire a taxi, it is only 150 rupees. Or you can simply walk. Keep in mind that this is Nepal. If you stay just a few miles away, it can be a good half hour ride to the airport because most of Kathmandu is still DIRT ROADS, not to mention the bad traffic. The staff are very friendly and attended to all of our requests. Here is one suggestion I have for the hotel. Some barrier, even if it's just an inch or two above the floor, between the shower and the toilet/sink area would be nice. I know it's very common in Nepal that such barrier doesn't exist and as a result, the entire bathroom floor is wet after taking a shower. Many hotels offer plastic sandals as a solution, but do I really want to wear public sandals? As I have noticed, many guests are westerners and a basic western comfort like standing on dry floor after shower would certainly make Regal stand out among its peers.…
I had the pleasure of staying at the Regal hotel for one night just before my flight the next day. I can safely say that the stay at Regal was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in Nepal. The service was top notch with great attention to detail. The food was great as well. They had superb wifi and were kind enough to provide me with an airport drop as well. All in all, this is a place I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to stay closer to the airport.
