Nirvana Garden has many of the pros and cons of nearby hotels: no elevator, barely warm water, slow wifi limited to the lobby, but reasonable prices. however, it stand out thanks to: a classy decoration, if a bit outdated larger rooms (I compared with the nearby hotels) and most importantly, a location a bit away from the road, which is... Hotel "Nirvana Garden" is an axcellent, just perfect ! If you are tired of office-looking and soul-free hotels, " Nirvana" is just the right place. Absolutely professional and friendly staff, kind and warm atmosphere will make your stay a super-plasant. Decoration of the lobby, library, floors and rooms are not simple : hand-made wooden decoration and furniture, paintings, table lamps,... More

This hotel is conveniently located close to Thamel, the touristic area of Kathmandu. It offers rooms at budget rates. The rooms are simple but clean. It provides free WiFi. The hotel surroundings are pretty quiet. And there is a garden where one can enjoy a complete and pleasant breakfast. The hotel also arranges for free transfer from/to airport. The staff is... More

The staff are very helpful and service oriented. The location of this hotel is perfect and consequently it is busy and ALWAYS overbooked requiring staff to scramble and put people elsewhere. The plumbing in all rooms needs maintenance so showers are a challenge. Hot showers only available early mornings until all hot water is used. If no sun, no hot... More

I stayed one week mid december at the hotel where I had already stayed previously. The hotel is in a quiet place, a luxury in KTM but right at the heart of the Thamel district. Helpful staff, generator and wifi as well as a real budget price makes it my first choice in KMT, even if the room plumbing could... More

We stayed as a couple in Nirvana Garden for two nights in December. It was my second stay in Thamel. And for USD 26/night (standard room with free airport transfer) it was a pretty good deal, especially when I compare it with my previous hotel at the same rate. It is in the heart of Thamel, but being situated in... More

The Nirvana Garden hotel is centrally located in the Thamel district in Kathmandu. This is super close to great shopping and across the street from The Everest Steak House. The hotel offers free wifi but it doesn't always reaches the rooms in the upper level. In house laundry is very affordable and convenient and breakfast was included in our package.... More

Staff is very nice and accommodating, rooms are basic and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is quite tasty. I thought it would be a 24 hour hot water establishment though given the price and it wasn't. Very disappointed about that. I had 4 showers and 2 of them were cold :(

Kathmandu's best hidden secret garden. My third trip to Thamel and the Nirvana Garden Hotel. Staff are so accommodating and helpful. Try and book a room in the back unit on the front with a balcony overlooking the lovely garden and outdoor seating area. The beds could do with an upgrade as some are super soft or rock hard but... We stayed here a couple of nights after coming down the Friendship Highway from Lhasa. Compared with some establishments in Tibet this place was luxurious with a very nice garden where you could have a meal or a beer. The hotel is located right in the Thamel area. Our room, in the annex building facing the garden, was OK, clean... More
