The name is misleading that it is not a backpacker dormintary. Room are decent with hot shower, and clean. (Except the wood flooring dated) Thank you for the owner at reception, alway expressing gentle smile...... Baclony is super and make me return to the inn at 5pm to catch up the sunset, birds in flying formation and the breeze, which is best time to get away the poor air quality on the road. Do check out the roof top!

Staff are great. Hotel is comfortable and clean. Room price is very cheap. Location is also in Thamel. I highly recommend this hotel. The rooftop is also a nice place to chill and unwind. For the next time visit to Nepal, we will definitely stay this hotel.

I was expecting a backpacker's style accommodation but was impressed with a budget hotel feel. Friendly service, comfortable clean room, perfect central location, great value for money, (just a little noisy one night with a party nearby).

£4 a night for 4 days through Booking.Com. Food on roof top terrace basic but good and cooked in front of me. Room clean. Very central. Friendly staff. Laundry service. What more does one need at this price? Can't find anything negative to say at this price.

We stayed here during our visit to Kathmandu.. The place was right in the heart of kathmandu city and that was the best part about it.. Near Thamel we could explore the places nearby even late at night The rooms were comfortable.. Their was parking issues and it was really difficult to park our innova but we managed doing so.. They were kind enough to provide accomodation and breakfast for our driver. The Breakfast on the rooftop restaurant was quite nourishing as well

The Bakpackers hotel kathmandu: great shower, single room really good, clean. Staff very cool. They provide extra services like laundry, printer, etc. It is a simple but very good for the price charged, I do recommend it.

We stayed 2 nights in BPI. The staff during our arrive wasn't that friendly but all the other we met made that good. Breakfast is ok for an included breakfast. Hot shower! Good beds. We had a room at the back of the hostel, what was noisy due to the parking lot behind it. OK laundry service ($1 per kilo). Good location.
