Musu musu=smiley, perfect to describe Dwarikas! Walk through the carved wooden door, and leave the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu behind and enter a tranquil courtyard taking you back in time. Maaz welcomes you through the door with impeccable English (he studied in Sheffield!), and Prakesh, Alpha and Buddha will look after you in the bar and restaurants. The traditional... More

We stay here whenever we are in Kathmandu, and love the ambience and the friendly service. Rooms are very spacious, with nice bedding and richly appointed. The only thing we can fault is the very very poor lighting in the bathroom area. Surely this can be upgraded?!

I travel often and stay in many hotels - this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. It is definitely on the pricey side, but thankfully I used hotel points to get it at a discounted rate. My room was huge and everything down to the small details was exquisite. In such a busy city, I... More

Step into the hotel and you step out of the hussle and bussle of Kathmandu into another world. As per its website and other reviews, the hotel is a like a time capsule of Kathmandu in bygone years and a wonderful reminder of the architecture and craftsmanship of years gone by. And the hotel takes this to the 'enth' degree... More

Dwarika's is a massive authentic Nepalese compound with everything--great restaurants, spa, excellent Western style breakfast--the help is unbelievable and friendly--great help for sightseeing and also negotiates taxi fares before the trip, which is a must in Katmandu. Also lets you know what you should negotiate for the return trip. And every taxi driver knows the Dwairka's as the destination-really a... More

Recently visited the Himalayan land for a short business trip and stayed at Dwarika hotel. The room was Executive standard and it was impressive in terms of traditional feel and the decor, but also had modern fixtures and fittings. Location was good too if you want to be close to the airport. The Japanese restaurant was absolutely fabulous and authentic,... More

We were initially hesitant to book The Dwarika given its room rate, but it proved to be worth every dollar and rupee! We stayed for three nights and were immensely appreciative of the calm and quiet that the hotel offers in an otherwise chaotic city. It allowed us to really dig deep into the city, but still having a restful... More
