I stayed in the this particular hotel during our trip to Nepal. The Hotel Brihaspati offers a very good service and the hotel staffs specially the desk people are very cordial, helpful and extremely well mannered. I don't know about all the rooms but the room where we have stayed was very good, they have a very good dining hall with very tasty food and good service. I recommend any person visit Nepal should try Brishapati Hotel and for myself and my family I will stay in this hotel in my future visit.

We stayed in this hotel during our business trip to Nepal.
The hotel location is in a residential area.
In the new wing there is no lift. So if you hv a problem with knees oot for first or second floor.
The beds are average. The pillows are very thick and very uncomfotable.
Strangely they dknt have any substitute.
The kitchen serves veg and non veg food both but the taste is average.
The mornings are very noisy as most of the rooms open to the streets of kathmandu.
There is a mall called city centre close to this mall where uou can go for shopping and food.
Gulab restaurent is there on the ground floor.
Darbar road is close by and uou can go by walking.
So choose this hotel as per your taste.
Dont expect too much. Its like home stay.Srvice is also average.

Because I had to spend almost a month and a half in Kathmandu hotels late 2017, I was looking for hotels with reasonable prices! Through Booking.com, I booked and paid for 2 nights at this hotel (based on a few good reviews and excellent photos on Booking.com) in November of 2017 but stayed one night instead and slept no seconds at all! The room was extremely filthy, and everything - I mean literally - was disgusting! I didn't go to bed at all that night but climbed up and down the staircases all night just to stay awake! In the morning, when asked, the manager of the hotel refused to refund but offered me breakfast, which I truly did not feel like having at all! Just to respect his offer (this is part of culture!), I sipped a little coffee! I didn't bother arguing at all about the refund, as I really wanted to get rid of the place. It was funny when the manager asked me to write good reviews about his hotel, which I ignored!

Around 3 AM in the morning, I managed to talk to an employee at a hotel near the airport. Although he asked me to show up at 8 in the morning, I reached his hotel at around 6 AM! As a traveler, you may figure out the level of frustration that I could have possibly undergone under such a circumstance! Therefore, stay away if you can!

I recently visited this hotel. We found lot of cockroaches in the room that was allowed. We were offered a different room when we complained where there is no such menace but the bedsheets and pillow covers are pretty dirty. Toilets are clean. Good part of this hotel is that it is near to airport and center of the city. Staff is courteous, prompt and polite.

Stayed at this hotel for around 3 weeks, and our stay couldn't of been any better. The boss was incredible, one of the friendliest guys Iv met and helped us immensely with certain hiccups we came Accross through our visit. The food was delicious and a great choice of menu. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Nepal, as they would make your trip a special one!
