Me and my husband stayed at Pataleban Vineyard and Resort, about 30km from Kathmandu. Room was confortable, with AC, room service available. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Wines were delicious. We did a wine tour and tasting at their vineyards about 1 hr away. It was worth the visit. The view from the room of the Himalaya was breathtaking.

Loved it here! It's not luxurious, but it is very reasonably priced and the staff are absolutely lovely. The views from the bedroom are just amazing - huge skies and the mountains. It's clean and quiet. The outside terrace is peaceful and there are lovely views there too. Things to note: 1) the shower takes more than five minutes to get hot. Don't give up! 2) the room air-conditioning also takes a few minutes to kick into action. 3) the breakfast at the weekend is a Nepali buffet. If you would like something slightly more Western, they make lovely porridge. And I definitely recommend the masala tea. Take a hot-water bottle!

Having had a trying, long drive on the roads of Nepal, this was an oasis! After the hussle and bussle of Katmandhu, we wanted peace and quiet and that was what we got. A lovely welcome, a clean room and tasty buffet dinner. It ticked every box. Would definitely recommend.

This resort is a must go for all being in or around Kathmandu! Pataleban resort is located very close (around half an hour taxi drive from KTM) but feels like in another world. Up in the mountains you have a beautiful view, fresh air and a relaxing terrace to enjoy their locally produced wine and great food. The rooms are huge and very clean and the staff and management team was amazing. They were more than welcoming and caring - I haven't experienced so much hospitallity for a very long time. The guide from the hotel brought us to a wonderful hidden temple, a 3-4h roundtrip trek away from the resort and at another day I could experience the vineyard tour. Besides the production of high quality wine (at affordable prices) they follow a social and sustainable mission by providing

Went with my wife. Visited back at 2018, and again on 2019. The place is mesmerizing if you want to enjoy peace and silence and cold. Very close to kathmandu and their hospitality is amazing! Tried their menu foods and breakfast! Any room has great view! If you want to spend a romantic evening with your loved one, do drop by. The room rates are reasonable!!

Really surprised to have discover this Vinyard resort near to Katmandu. I really enjoyed my stay in Pataleban, the staff are competent and really polite. Near to the resort it have a great walk to do through a forest and it have temple on the top of the mount. Futhermore the best thing for me in the resort it was the view and the quiet, where you can appreciate with the only Nepali Wine made by the resort accompanied with a dinner. I will come back in future for sure.

While returning from Nagarkot we took a night's halt at this spectacular resort just 17 km away from Kathmandu towards Gorkha . It was a picture postcard resort . The girls managed the resort most efficiently and gracefully . Our room was elegant . The view from the large glass windows was mind blowing . The resort had its own vineyard away from the resort . The view from the garden having a special tree was magnificent . We could enjoy the valley of Dhading from the garden . Snow capped Mt Ganesh ( 7118 m ) , Mt Langtang ( 7227 m ) and Mt Manaslu ( 8156 m ) were clearly visible . I enjoyed Resort's own Red wine along with Thai dinner which was above average .. The service was highly appreciable . Washrooms were extraordinarily spank and shining . One should visit and

Spectacular resort in the gorgeous hills near Kathmandu, beautiful view from our elegant room, excellent service, lovely afternoon on their terrace with fine wine, made from local grapes at winery connected to the resort, and fresh pear-apple like fruit served from tree on property——pictured here is decadent crepe Suzette desert——AC welcomed with finely designed modern bathroom—-location and setting are incomparable

This hotel is beautifully located near entrance of Kathmandu city and this is the only plus point of this hotel. Everything else from room to food to service is at its worst. We went there in July when it is peak summer, but the room was very very cold and not cozy at all. The rooms were extremely damp and had molds all over the ceiling. Bed sheets, linens and towel looked old and dirty. Only lukewarm water was available in the shower and rooms lacked basic amenities like tea coffee maker/ locker, slippers, hair dryer, etc. The rooms lacked maintenance and insects & moths were flying all over. Food in the restaurant was tasteless and service was super slow. Minimum waiting time for food is 1 hour. The internet is very poor as well as mobile reception. There is no room service.
