Detailed Reviews
We arrived around 11am and they allowed us an early check in at no extra cost. Our first room (junior suite) was a little small, no balcony, etc, so we upgraded to the exec suite ($60 extra per night) and we were not disappointed! Almost our own private floor/ balcony overlooking the Boudha Stoupa and Kathmandu! A good sized space (kitchen, dining, bedroom, bathroom) with very clean and comfy amenities. All the staff (reception, house keeping, bar/ restaurant) were attentive, friendly and fast to act. The restaurant menu was replicated as room service - all of which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Only challenge is they close at 11am which if you're jet lagged, isn't ideal. The location is slightly out of the centre; 15-20 mins to Thamel, but taxis are cheap and readily available. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We stayed twice, on our arrival and just before our departure from the country. The hotel is on a very busy main road, but this did not affect the quietness and the sleep quality of the hotel. The closeness to the airport and the fantastic Stupa are also a bonus. Both times we had very large rooms, both on the fifth floor. 516 had a big sitting room, with comfortable sofas and an area with a table and chairs and a sink unit with refrigerator. A bathroom was off one end of the room and a separate bedroom off the other end. The view was over the street below and the Stupa, which was great. Sadly, the lock broke so we had to be moved to 512, larger but the bedroom was not separate from the sitting room. On our return a week later, we were given 511, the other side of the building with a view over another part of the city. This room was also large with a combined sitting room and bedroom area, and a separate bathroom. All good, even though one of the aircon units dripped water all over the floor!
The staff were great, friendly and always willing to help, whether maintenance, porters, receptionists or restaurant staff. We agree with other respondents about the wonderful views from their over the Stupa and of the sunrises/sunsets. Food was very good, especially the Nepalese and Asian dishes, and we enjoyed the Gorkha beer! Overall, a good place to stay - and according to others with us who has arrived earlier, very good for access to the river and the centre of the city.

Excellent hotel in a very nice position just nearby the Boudanath Stupa. The area is absolutely very safe and calm (from what you can expect from Kathmandu).
The rooms are perfectly clean and very comfortable with any amenities you could need during your stay. The restaurant is really one of the best restaurant you could find in the whole city and nothing the less the 7th Heaven Bar offering you a stunning view on the city and the Stupa will surprise you with the kindness and warm welcome you will receive from Amit Moktan Tamang, the professional bartender who will take good care if you during your stay with a smile everyday. Amit makes this a place to be in Kathmandu! Don t miss to visit him for a drink while in Kathmandu....he will let you feel at home.

Considering this to be a higher end hotel in Katmandu. We stayed 5 days. Good location! The breakfast was very good with an incredible view of the Boudanath Stupa. Hotel interior is clean and rooms adequate. Elevator on our wing was broken. For a hotel that advertise their hot water, the biggest issue was the hot water. The repair man was responsive, but it took 4 times in one day to result in not so hot water. Again, no hot water the next day, the repair man finally said, this is as hot as it gets.
There was a disturbance early one morning by a (seeming) local that pounded on the door across our room for almost an hour. I did not alert hotel as it eventually stopped after I poke my head out to ask him to be quiet. Courtyard at front of hotel (away from the busy street) is also very good for pickups/dropoffs.

I had stayed at The Hotel Tibet International A few years ago and returned now that Travel is opening up again and this hotel has only gotten better! The location is ideal especially if you enjoy being near the Boudha Stupa which is just across the road. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The seventh floor restaurant which has been recently renovated has a stunning panoramic view of the Stupa and offers a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The location is just 15 minutes from the airport and Thamel is Easily reached by taxi but I prefer to spend most of my time in Boudhanath. I have stayed at other hotels in Kathmandu but I can no longer imagine staying anywhere other than The Hotel Tibet International.

The hotel employees makes a familiar environment where everyone makes sure you are well. Our stay was one of the best experience ever. The hotel restaurant is very nice with good food and fantastic view. The rooms are big, plenty of space and well cared. The location is also the best, near to the main Stupa, where you can find good restaurants and stores.

Hotel Tibet International is just about 250 meters away, across the road from the World Heritage site: the Bodhinath Stupa. The hotel rooms are comfortable, Wi-Fi is stable and free parking is available. The most striking feature of the hotel is the roof top dining hall. You get a panoramic view of the city from the rooftop. The quality of breakfast offered under Continental Plan is superb. The food, though a bit expensive, is of good quality. The hotel is located in a place which is close to Pashupatinath Temple. Staying here is really convenient.
