I stayed at Haatiban Himalayan Height Resort in March 2020, and feel so lucky to have happened upon this resort. They provide a splendid experience with quite luxury accommodations for Nepal (privacy, quiet, heated rooms and electric bed blanket) as well as top-notch service, food, and grounds-care throughout the resort. The views of the snow-peaked Himalayas are spectacular from the resort -- probably some of the best you can find anywhere. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and quite versed in the best of South Asian service standards will an international understanding of catering to those from the West as well. While the drive up to the resort, which is perched on a ridge, is a bit harrowing, the Nepali drivers seem sure-footed in their ability to make the climb. This is truly a place of dreams. I highly highly recommend a visit. I hope to be back soon, myself!

Terrific staff aim to please and do an excellent job. Our party of 14 were treated like Royalty. They had special cakes and festive events for us. Extremely friendly people world class view of the Himalayas, beautiful grounds, flowers, shrubs and patios. The drive up is better than a rollercoaster ride. Hiking and Mountain biking from there is amazing.

My husband and I spent a week at this gem of a hotel. The location is stunning, as the facilities are perched on the top of a hill overlooking the Kathmandu valley, with the awe-inspiring backdrop of the snow-covered Himalayan mountains. Birds soared in the skies overhead. Our room was cosy with electrical heating pads under the sheets to keep us warm in bed. The staff were incredibly nice, attentive and delightful. Although the driveway is an adventure in twisty mountain turns, arriving at the top is more than worth the the drive. I would definitely return.

The resort is on the top of a mountain on the southwest side of the Kathmandu Valley. Getting there is difficult with the last 2 km of steep and uneven mountain road, the the resort is very nice. Excellent facility and friendly staff.

Himalayan Height Resort (Hattiban Resort is set on a beautiful pine forest on top of a hill. It has a beautiful garden, impeccably kept lawns and views o f the s tunning Himalayan mountais. Could be an excellent outing for a weekend away from Kathmandu to visit the monasteries in Pharping and "Asura Caves"....If you have been waiting for the "but", here goes : we reserved two triple rooms for the se ven members of my family , with an extra BED in one of the rooms for my 9-year-old grandaughter. It's winter and cold at night. We were greeted with a mattress on the floor ! We asked for at least a folding bed. They said they didn't have any, which is quite exceptional for a hotel. We were the only guests at the hotel and a box bed could very well have been moved from another room. We were on full pension, which included dinner and breakfast. We were told we would be served the Nepali set. Some members of our party saiod they would prefer the chinese set. We were told it would not be possible to have two different sets. Eventually the chef himself told us we could choose any dish from the menu...During both dinner and break fast, the staff seemed to be in a hurry to dispose of the dishes, even before we had finished the food. After dinner we found out there was hardly any warm water to shower back in our rooms. Worse of all, the next morning, even though checking out would be at 12:00, we had somebody from the front desk came to our room at 10:20 a.m. to ask when we would leave. Would not reccomend the hotel, which is a pity because it has great potential.
