Since the lockdown began, due to my work obligations I had to move a lot. And many places I stayed overnight were charging considerably more which though is understandable but inconvenient as well. Himalayan suite hotel in comparison definitely stood out. The impeccable services were worth every penny and there was no inflated rate of the food and other services. With low staffing and ensured safety precautions all the necessities were met. All the necessary steps were taken to feel the customers safe amid this pandemic. Body Temperature was tested right at the main entrance, all the rooms were disinfected, bedsheets, curtains, table clothes were changed with each customer. Hand sanitizer were provided and there was dedicated team for safety and hygiene constantly cleaning door handles, tables, reception desk and so on. I was very impressed with the diligence of the people working here. I was assured that food that were served was cleaned, thoroughly cooked and delicious. All the staffs had ppt on, with gloves, masks and face shield. Apart from these I wouldn't fail to mention the PCR test of Chinese customers done there. I didnt have to because I just had recently tested due to requirement of the nature of my work. All things said, this hotel definitely meets its standard and gives you all the services with no compromise. You can safely stay without too much worries. Will recommend to anyone wanting to stay at place where your safety and services are prime goal of the establishment.

I had the pleasure of staying at Himalayan Suite Hotel every single night whenever I Visit Kathmandu. It is located in a peaceful area where there is no disturbing noise. The hotel has own restaurant where you can enjoy the delicious meal, relaxation activities, spa, massage and many more on your request. The company also owns a travel business if you are planning to have wonderful holidays during your stay. The staff is so friendly that it seems like we are staying at home, not a Hotel. You will get all the facilities under one roof.

Due to the coronavirus we stayed at the Himalayan Suite for 10 days. The rooms are large, airy and very modern with TV and ensuite with instant hot showers.Each room has a TV and tea making kit and ours was with Balcony. The outstanding rooms and facilities only come second to the exceptional staff who were dedicated to our every need; nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast is outstanding consisting of fruit, cereal, toast and a fry up! The price is very competitive and worth every rupee. Would i recommend to my friend and family - 100% yes!

It would sound like far fetched but its about everything I have experienced. I have been to many places, spent many nights out of home. Basic accommodation to five stars I have seen it all.
But when I say this place is special its not just what this place has to physically offer. What could there be anything new that no other place has?
I would begin with entrance. In place like Thamel you would never go short of hotels to look for this one stands tall at its own ground of sorhakhutte. The moment you enter you will see everyone just going about their regular job but effortlessly. From the guard to every strange faces smile back at you as if they know you. They will make you feel comfortable and at ease. Its not that grand really but its kinda Enough. There's nothing you will find this place short of. Decoration screams the blend of western and traditional Nepali outlook. The light post in the lobby is gorgeous and smell of incense sticks reminds you if sacred place.
Clean and spacious. Escalator for people with problem with walking and you will go higher and lower through awesome paintings portraying nepali way of life. Rooms? I would say i wouldn't think twice to rent it but well i just cant. High and grand windows, big and comfortable beds, and mattresses are so comfy that you will fall asleep right away. I haven't had trouble falling asleep at all. Quiet area gives you all privacy you need.
I would really go i lengths about food, hotel room service, that kind serveuse, housekeeping maid and boys working in and out of kitchen. Knowing them was absolute pleasure. So much energy in these boys. If you are just like me that is fond of being away, spending nights out, like to enjoy life as it comes and experience things all small and big businesses have to offer you would want to give this place a try.
You won't regret. I have my personal special memories and it may be making me say too much too good but its absolutely worth the try, has great many things you would like spa, restaurant, travel site and 24 hrs available service from amazing people always ready to accommodate with your needs.

My brother and I came to Kathmandu in October to complete the Everest Base Camp Trek through Himalaya Social Journey (also 5 stars). The hotel is in a great part of town, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. The owner Ram is very gracious and we felt safe and taken care of. The food and water at the hotel was delicious and more importantly safe to eat and gave us no problems on our journey. I highly recommend this hotel and the Everest Base Camp Trek through Himalaya Social Journey. If you do decide to take this adventure on, ask for Mingmar Sherpa to be your guide, he is the absolute best.

Booked standard room and got a free upgrade to deluxe with balcony I think. King bed and balcony with lovely view of the city. The spa below is awesome at a good price of NPR1500 for 60min ayurvedic massage. There's many other massages like swedish, deep tissue etc. Friendly staff service, airport pickup at a fee of NPR1300 or usd12. Only down side is the room is dark and the shower and shampoo is just simple soap so don't expect spa smell types haha. 10min walk to Thamel centre with a junction thats hard to cross so follow the locals to cross will be the safest.

The Himalayan Suite Hotel was wonderful! We stayed here for 5 weeks. All the receptionists and restaurant workers were so kind and accommodating. The receptionist always helped us find cost effective taxis to work and they also picked us up from the airport free of charge. Everyone worked hard to make this such a memorable stay. The rooms were cleaned every single day and the rooms were very large and comfortable. Hot water and strong air conditioning. Also a great location, 10 minute walk to Thamel but a lot quieter in the evenings! Would strongly recommend booking a room here, for a long or short stay.

Our group stayed at the Himalayan hotel twice over 3 weeks, on the front and back end of our hike to Everest Base Camp. Both times the staff were incredibly helpful, the hotel was very clean and well-stocked, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Ishwor and Sagar in the restaurant always served us promptly and politely, and Nawaraj at the front desk was very helpful with currency exchange, printing, shipping parcels, etc. Our Everest guides, Mingmar and Binod, were excellent. Through logistical challenges with flights, bad weather, and gear issues, these two worked tirelessly to get us to Base Camp and ensure we had a successful trek. I highly, highly recommend staying at the Himalayan Suite Hotel. The reasonably priced food and spa services, clean and modern rooms, and excellent staff will make your experience a great one.

Clean, new and spatious rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Less than 5 minute walk from Thamel centre, but at the same time in a quiet zone, we never heard noises from traffic, horns or other forms of noise pollution. We also appreciated the kindness of the staff.

A friend took me to tour Nepal and we ended our journey in Kathmandu to experience Thamel. Himalayan Suit was such a restful end to our journey. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the on site restaurant served fresh food and would deliver to our room at no extra charge. It was nice to stay a few blocks out of Thamel to escape the busyness of the tourist shops and salesmen.
