The hotel is very good situated, right in the center of Thamel, the most touristic district. Don't expect a high standing hotel, but more a functional spot to sleep and leave your bagage. The rooms are clean (nepali way). I mean, the building is obviously old and the rooms smell strange, but they offer like a one-star occidental hostel's cleanliness.... More

The staff is really nice and useful. If you don't have a lot of money, this hotel will provide you decent and clean rooms, but the hot water is not so hot every day and as everywhere in Kathmandu, electricity is not available 24/7. Plus, the hotel provides a decent wifi (don't expect 100gigabit, it's Nepal) ! I forgot to... More

This is a typical 'hole-in-the-wall' kind of hotel. Very rudimentary in terms of facilities. Located in the side street of Thamel market place. Basu who is the hotel manger is the ONLY best thing about this hotel! However, even he is helpless when the hotel owner (who is the most ill mannered person you can come across) over-rules Basu and... More

We paid only around 10USD per night so I should not be one to complain. However, I'm stating the facts as is -- the room was shabby with big holes in the carpet, paint peeling off the walls, the toilet seat cover had holes, cracked bathroom tiles and so on. The reason we picked this hotel was cos we arrived... More

The staff here were very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to go and offering to organize trips etc. The location was close to everything, right in Thamel but not too noisy or crowded. The room I had was a double and was rather badly kept and dingy. Although it is cheap, I've had nicer rooms for a similar price.

I stayed here with a group of three other friends before and after a trek for a total of about 5 nights. Basu and his crew were extremely helpful to us. He walked us to the tourist bus depot, provided lots of great advice on local attractions (temples, etc.), and picked up up/dropped us off at the airport (for a... More

I stayed in Hotel Visit Nepal for 2 times, before and after going trekking with 8 my friends. Very good choice, especially if you are going trekking in a group. Hotel Visit Nepal has free pick up service from the airport - a minibus can provide anough place for up to 6 people with huge backpacks in a time. Nice... More

My room was fairly small and dated, and the one blanket provided wasn't nearly enough to fend off the chilly November night, but I swear I almost cried when I stepped into the shower - so many places promise hot showers but they are often at best luke warm dribbles - this was a proper hot powerful shower and I...
