We had 2 stays at this hotel- the first time- Nice hotel located on very narrow street traffic very busy outside so hotel quiet oasis. Rooms could be bigger but bed comfy and free wifi Rooftop area amazing but the way it’s set up only two sitting couches areas so if more than 4 people it’s full - it could do with being bigger. The second time- was not a great experience at all We stayed here when we came back to Kathmandu we were given room 501 on the top floor the bonus was it was very quiet until the generator turned on. The noise was horrendous we had to wear ear plugs the generator seemed to be right next door to our room. We ate in for dinner, in chicken chow menu very generous portion, chicken breast and vegetables nice, crunchy vegetables small portion 4 green beans. Breakfast buffet style, not a lot of fresh fruit to eat, had to ask for coffee cups, staff not good at topping up food or utensils We went to pay in usd they refused to take a $20 note as it had a tiny 1mm rip in it. I had a great time in a beautiful hotel. The staff from reception was amazing and special Thanks to Imala and the morning staff for alll. Also I did i2 private full day tours with a guide anda driver and it was great. Also Thanks for Imeh from the restaurant for all informations about Kathmandu and kindness. Also the location is great near thamel shops, gardens of dreams and the Palace. I didn’t have time to try the morning free yoga class and afternoon meditation. Maybe next time. The transfer pick from airport was great too, specially for a solo travel girl.

Beautiful, characterful hotel mixing traditional Nepalese decor with every modern comfort. So many lovely design touches both inside and in the sunny courtyard. We stayed several nights at the beginning and end of our trek and found it a great base - a calm oasis after being out and about sightseeing. Fantastic service, breakfasts, cocktails and dinner (Nepalese, Asian and international food). A very minor niggle was having to pay seperately for barista coffee options at breakfast - filter coffee was included but that isn't for everyone. Overall an excellent boutique hotel at a fair price.

What a beautiful hotel, from the minute we arrived ( for one week ) we felt so comfortable and could not help but notice all the fine workmanship and details in the woodwork put into this place , plus all of the unique furnishings and lovely plants and flowers spread out in the outdoor sitting area making for a very relaxed place to have a drink and enjoy our friends company.Best breakfast ever as the offerings were plenty and changed everyday. plus me and my wife really enjoyed the free yoga lessons every morning ,Great way to start our day.Highly recommend Nepali Ghar Hotel as we will certainly stay there again , Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

Great service. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Highly recommend that when in Kathmandu to stay and eat at the Nepali Ghar. One or the other or both if fortunate enough. We have been to Nepal twice and both times while in KTM stayed here. Five stars all around.

Good staff, nice breakfast, and great morning yoga classses. Facilities were decent. Would have like better shampoo and soap. Rooms needed a dresser to place cloths. Comfortable better. Would have liked better plug outlet and the hotel only gave one key card. Besides this, good location of the hotel and clean originally place. Someone has placed lots of thoughts into this place.

Close to the airport is a centrally located fairly new hotel, a real oasis of comfort. It is aesthetically decorated with great finesse, mixed with Nepali traditions, and culture and modern touch made our stay very enjoyable and memorable, and will come here again with the group.

Very good hotel overall, friendly staff and well appointed rooms considering that you are in Kathmandu. Very well located in Thamel, walking distance to all we needed before starting our EBC trek. The outside court was great for drinks and a quick meal. Returning to this hotel after the EBC trek was like arriving in an Oasis. Highly recommended.

Very nice and clean hotel. Unfortunately if you are planning on having a quiet night of sleep, you will need some earplugs. As the hotel is located next to a night club, that doesn’t seem to have a noise limit, you will hear heavy music and feel loud beats in the room all night.

We have been staying with hotel for three days and the property is having good location but rooms are extremely small. Then as regards to staff they are very good and courteous. I had complained the reception about the air conditioning in the room no 109 and wish they should rectify the problem. We were sweating badly in the lobby and rooms.
