The staff are amazing. Always very helpful and cheerful and Pramod is an absolute gem. His motivation is to ensure you have everything you need for a complete experience of Kathmandu. We were greeted upon arrival with a drink and very friendly and helpful service. We were picked up at the airport by a driver sent by Pramod. He was easy to locate and the sign he was holding was easy to see and made for a quick trip to the hotel after a very long voyage. Even though we arrived around 10pm, the staff did all they could to make sure we had everything we needed. No request is too much trouble. Their customer service is second to none. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious. The decor and lighting are elegant and tasteful. The beds are enormous and supremely comfortable. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and the restaurant serves fresh and excellent food. It is the best hotel in Kathmandu and you should do yourself a favour and book a room at this fantastic hotel. It’s location is central to everything but very quiet and peaceful in the evenings so you know you won’t be awoken by traffic noise early in the morning. All round a fantastic place to stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone planning on visiting Kathmandu. A big thumbs up 👍🏼👍🏼

We stayed at Kumari Boutique Hotel in January and found it to be a perfect retreat after a busy day exploring Kathmandu. Our room was comfortable, cozy and clean. In fact, the beds, comforters, and pillows were so comfortable I wished we could take them home. The location was very convenient for exploring the Thamel area. The personnel were very obliging and helpful, especially when our plane arrived 5 hours late, which made for a 3 a.m. arrival at the hotel. Their restaurant's food offered a varied menu with good food, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. What can I say? We would definitely stay there again when in Kathmandu.

The Kuamri Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to spend my last night in Nepal. My room was spotless and spacious, and the staff accommodated me in every way possible, including letting me have a final shower and check out two hours late before heading to the airport. In this crazy time of Coronavirus, it was the ideal spot to put aside my worries.

We were in Kathmandu for one night after a stay in a small mountain town. We had never been, and Kathmandu can prove a bit overwhelming if you’ve never been. Kumari, however, provided us with a perfect, peaceful oasis where we could relax and sleep. We had a nice view of the top of a temple from our room, the breakfast food was quite good, and the location was perfect for exploring the neighborhood of Thamel. The front desk was also incredibly helpful on a number of occasions. Thanks, Kumari!

I really enjoyed my stay at the wonderful Kumari Boutique Hotel. Firstly I was greeted warmly with a cool drink. The room was clean and spacious, the bed large and comfortable, and the bathroom had a divide between the shower area and the toilet / sink, keeping the bathroom overall dry and amenable to a global audience. The artwork was educational teaching about the various communities and cultures of Nepal. The location is central and the staff had exceptional service.

The food was newari style and good. I stayed 15 nights and they served me every day and night giving me whatever I asked for whether it was rubber bands, cutlery, towels, many bottles of water. The internet was fine and the AC was too. The cleaning was regular and adjusted to my sleep schedule. Everybody had a good attitude. They did my laundry at an efficient price. At the end of my 15 day stay, they promptly provided me a 15 day letter that permitted me to do court marriage in Nepal. Pramod the owner was so helpful.

He literally came to the government ward office to help me with every step of my stamps and paperwork. He also gave me a nice arrangement for a long term stay (2 months) including food.

We have paid much more to stay in some dumps in Kathmandu. This is the nicest boutique hotel we have found. Reliable hot water and ac. Just far enough off the beaten track to be very quiet and restful. New and very well thought out. This property has an elevator which many others do not. You do not appreciate it until you have to drag your baggage up 7 flights of narrow stairs. Breakfast was very good with the typical omelets, bacon, cold cereal, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, coffee, juices, milk and tea. A very easy walk to shops and the Fusion restaurant and Fire and Ice pizza. We don't spend much time in our hotel, but this one would be great for an extended stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can't think of a negative. You will enjoy the quaintness, quietness and functionality.

What a super hotel this is having returned from EBC, stayed here 5 nights. Large clean rooms which are refreshed everyday, powerful hot shower, comfy large bed, complimentary water. Excellent location in Thamel, but most importantly, located in a non-through road it's very quiet. There is no traffic noise & no nearby bars or disco.
Staff are attentive & could not be more helpful & breakfast is also very good.
I highly recommend the Kumari.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in all accounts! As soon as we arrived, the cheerful staff welcomed us with mango juice and took our bags up to our room for us. The room was very clean and spacious with fresh drinking water ready for us. The food was good and the wifi was strong enough to have video calls to family overseas. One of the best parts of the very clean hotel is the shaded veranda out front which provides a bit of separation from the quiet street out front while enjoying the beautiful weather of kathmandu.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to kathmandu and wanting to stay in the thamel district.

Great little hotel with the friendliest staff.

All staff care about you, remember you and go out of their way to help.

English was spoken sufficiently.

Hotel and rooms were tidy and clean.

The beauty of this hotel is it's location. It is quiet, but very close to all of the action in Thamel.

Staff also helped with providing price ranges for services such as how much to pay a taxi to various locations.

Stored luggage with them for 2 weeks and had no concerns about security - when we arrived back, they put it in our room in the exact same condition as we left it.

I hope to come back again soon.

Thank you everyone at Kumari

Kumari boutique hotel was our last stop in Nepal before we went back home. After a not-so-satisfying hotel in Chitwan National Park, we were highly satisfied with the level of service provided from the kumari boutique hotel. It’s situated on the back side of an alley in thamel but you’re still in the center of thamel. For us it took 10-15 minutes walk to the side of thamel that is vehicle free.

Room was wonderful and the bedding was nice. No wonder kumari is rated as no.1 hotel in kathmandu.

Just one side note, breakfast can be improved. We had breakfast at 9 am but most of the dishes were cold and I saw they were not heated.

Upon check out, they gave us a yellow cloth for protection when traveling to another country (it was a nice touch, never experience that before :) )

About 2 city blocks. Roads are narrow with many pot holes. You have to watch your step as well as dodge cars and motor scooters. But, what the heck, I’m 81 and I made it.
