Bodhi Boutique Hotel should be on top of your list for a stay in Kathmandu. Located in a silent area of Thamel this clean and cosy hotel offers anything and more for a very good price. The staff is always very helpful and friendly, even at night you can bother people with any issue. We really enjoyed the good breakfast in the morning and the good advices from the staff about sight seeing in Kathmandu and trekking around Nepal. You get the feeling that the people working there are enjoying what they doing. And you get a great view from the rooftop. Do your self a favor and book this one!

Professional, pleasant, personal. Nice, clean hotel, very near main tourist district, yet in quiet street. Sabin. Sky, and another pleasant lady (didn't get her name) personally attends to all your queries and needs. Forget the upmarket big hotels. Go for this 'personal' hotel, 20 mins from the Kathmandu Itnl/Domestic Airport.

Bodhi Boutique was really comfortable! We had a perfect shower with 24-hour hot water and a clean room with a very comfy bed. The breakfast was great and the masala tea is the best! The highlight of our stay was the staff who were very kind and accommodating, giving us travel advice regarding trekking and also allowed us to store our bags for two weeks while we were in the Everest region. We hope to stay again when we return to Nepal!

The staff was lovely- even at the very late hour at which I arrived. The room was small, but spacious enough for me. There were two water bottles in the room - complimentary (this seems to be standard in Nepal hotels) The shower was hot and strong. (Check the bathroom door handle...I got stuck in there for a little while and almost panicked thinking I was going to have to sleep on the floor! But I finally got myself out!) The breakfast was good- there are a few choices. I had banana pancakes- tasty! I didn't like the fact that I got a 'no-show' email after I checked out- this seems to be a tactic that the hotel is using so that you can't review the hotel on the booking site. That seems a bit shady to me...
