Great location, price very comparable for area. Driver had difficulty in finding hotel even though cab sent from hotel to airport to collect us. Very clean, large rooms and friendly staff, in lane behind Main Street but high floor favourable as people talking outside in lane into the early hours. Yes we would stay again.

The Jay Suites provided me with good sleep in a pleasant room. The service was friendly and the location was both central and quiet on a side street in Thamel (the main tourist area in Kathmandu). The room was already quite dated with clear signs of wear and tear, but that was reflected in the pricing. It was more important to me that the room and bathroom were clean, the room had a good bed and good aircon, and there was no street noise in the room. The front desk was always friendly and smiling. The hotel restaurant was quite small and it was quite often full. As breakfast wasn't included in my room rate, I didn't try the hotel restaurant at all, as Thamel was full of restaurants with plenty of empty tables outside the peak season. The hotel is pretty basic in general. Rooms are ok, if a bit small, and the rooms on the lower floors in particular suffer from being in the dark most of the time so can feel a bit “cave-y” Breakfast is made to order but not of the highest quality (they also decided to ring us at 8am one morning to wake us up despite breakfast running much later - not ideal when you’ve just landed and are jet lagged). The location is excellent, right in the middle of Thamel. Overall, we’ve stayed in a few places in Kathmandu now and we think you can get better for the same price.

Hotel Jay Suites was fantastic. It was clean and welcoming. Eleena was wonderful to accommodate all my requests including change dates. They even managed to move my breakfast to half an hour earlier so that I can make my way to the airport on time for my international flight. Hotel is located at a great place in Thamel, very close to many shops and paces to eat. It’s about 30/35 mins from the Airport.

We had a 3 night stay in Jay Suites checked in 12th Sep 22 with a family of 9 members from India ( Mumbai) We have booked 4 Rooms online through Agoda , for exploring nepal as tourists. Rooms ambience is very good with nice interiors. Sufficient arrangement for hot and cold water. Reception service provided were very good. The location of the hotel is in the main market, nearby to visit destination spots. Breakfast quality is awesome, and made as per request ( As preferred) Owner of the Hotel Mr. Pramod and all staff were very gentle and kind for giving good services to customers. Room prices found reasonable based on service provided. Recommended for family, couples and groups. I enjoyed it a lot.

We thoroughly impressed by the hotel staff services which are above and beyond our expectations. You ask for anything and it will be catered for in no time, be it organising local tours, taxis/cabs, airport transfers, booking local travels fares, room service (which was exceptional). I highly recommend the hotel for next visit to Kathmandu. Hotel is situated in the middle of Thamel wghicj is the most happening place in the City. Very bad service, they deal different at first and increase the rate in the morning. Not gonna ever come back to this hotel again. There were no required stuffs in the room as mentioned, room key is laggy.
