I and my colleagues and my family had a wonderful culinary experience today at Hotel Thimphu Towers. The full view of the active Clock Tower space added to our group experience. You should go there sooner.

This was our first hotel on our tour of Bhutan and we couldn't have asked for more. Arriving on a very early morning flight to find our room ready to enable us to rest and then explore in the afternoon. This hotel is ideally placed in the main town square of the Capital of Bhutan and the rooms well appointed. What really makes this hotel special is how it is run. It is run by the owner who is present and engaging at all hours and leads by example in terms of service and standards. The hotel gets a big tick in terms of sustainability, with the provision of filter water in the rooms and I don't believe that I saw one piece of plastic during our stay. Tshering, the owner, has strong employment beliefs, hiring the majority of women into all roles. This may not seem remarkable but she has ensured that she makes a difference to these women, some of whom had no previous experience and a number of whom are single parents, providing education and training to enable them to build a better life.

I was on a 13-day tour of Bhutan, and my agency booked my small group of 4 at Hotel Thimphu Towers. The hotel is modern, clean and centrally located. The food was absolutely delicious! Rooms were both spacious and comfortable. The customer service was outstanding, from the warmth and caring of the owner herself to all the staff I encountered. It's also impressive that they employ many at-risk women as staff and are a green, eco hotel. This place goes the extra mile...and more!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because of its location which was convenient. There were many shops close by and it was easy to walk around. We had a room on the 4th floor. The room was spacious and clean. There was a view of the far-away Buddha Dordenma. The water pressure of the shower was good but the hot water ran out pretty quick. The WiFi worked well. We were aware of the noise issue from previous reviews and it was actually not that bad. We had it worse in the Phobjikha Valley. The overall service was average and the staff seemed a bit indifferent. Breakfast was a simple buffet spread and the food was so so.

This was our frst stop on a weeklong trip to Bhutan. The hotel was very nice, the staff very attentive and the room spacious and with great views! We were fortunate to meet the charming owner and she chatted with us for over half an hour, sharing her personal story and the creation of the Thimpu Towers Hotel. It was a great introduction to the friendly and warm people of this country and made us feel all the more welcome. The food was very good. We didn't know what to expect given the relatively young tourist industry in the country, but were pleasantly surprised. There were of course the dogs doing their thing at night but it is pretty easy to get used to that as ambient noise and make it not a big distraction. I woud recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel. Great location, central to many activities in the city, friendly staff and a feeling that the management is doing its utmost to please the clientele. Thank you, Thimpu Towers, for a great stay in your capital! Martin and Eve L
