The hotel is rather modern, located a little outside Thimpu in a very quiet neighborhood. Rooms are rather spacious (which could cause them to be a little chilly in the winter time) and very clean, restaurant is good and personnel is very nice and welcoming. Overall a very good choice

Stayed at the Ariya as part of our tour package. Hotel was very nice. Room was so spacious and was like a suite. It was very clean and seemed well cared for. The hotel is located slightly outside of the downtown of Thimphu, but was a very quiet and we found it to be a fine location. The dining staff was so friendly and really went above and beyond to take care of us. Food was good, a lot of Indian influence, however all tasty food and very fresh. Spa was very nice. I got a massage during our stay and it was very relaxing and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

The Ariya Hotel is excellent first one we visited when we landed in paro The rooms 110 and 111 were very nice clean and comfortable The food was delicious and in large quantities.Enjoyed the delicious dishes made by chef Ramchandra I would rate 9/10 for food The staff was very friendly and polite and attentive.very smart and decent 1. Our experience of staying in ariya was excellent in respect of everything comprising of property rooms illuminations cleanliness food hospitality etc. staffs were found very nice and cordial. Specially prema n jisang. Always enquired about our needs. Very charming. Last day they stood in front our bus at lobby till our departure. Remembering attitude n hospitality. Great

its a great place to stay in thimphu.. the staffs are very friendly and very very polite !! the service was great.. the suite that i was staying in was very very spacious !! my room had a great view also.. the only negative point about my stay was the flow of water in the bathroom..it was too slow..

Very professional and friendly staff. Clean and hygenic rooms. The surrounding area is very safe and a lot of cafes to explore. Food is good, the restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and the menu varies per day. Overall, would reccommend a stay here

Modern hotel that seems fairly popular with both small American groups and travelers from India. It’s a bit outside of Thimphu downtown area, but walkable or inexpensive taxi to get there. Has a pretty good restaurant with breakfast buffet and a nice spa with good massage. The room I had was a huge corner, with separate sitting area and large bathroom. Bed was firm. Mini fridge and bottled water in room. Spotlessly clean with split air unit for AC and heat. Neighborhood is mostly quiet, with the occasional barking dog. Local markets easily accessible for snacks or toiletries.

The Ariya is a nice, modern and comfortable Hotel that is located near Thimphu city center. Our small group tour had booked this Hotel for 2-nights which gives us enough time to explore the many scenic sites that Thimphu has to offer. As can be seen in the photos, the standard room that we had was spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. Also, the bath was also spacious and clean with a large glass enclosed shower. Highly recommend this Hotel while visiting Thimphu.

Our tour group spent 3 nights here. Our room, 308, was very large. Breakfasts were simple fare and not much selection. Dinners were buffets, but overall the food was okay. The young men that work in the dining room were super friendly. The hotel was practically a ghost town during our stay. We only saw one other couple. Great view of the Big Buddha from our room window. It’s lite up at night.

The main town is only 5 minutes by taxi and price usually varies from Rs 20 to maximum of Rs 100. The hotel also has very good food which are priced very competitively and also nearby there are many restaurants which are only 5 minutes walk.
