When you have visited other parts of the world you are bound to compare them with the recent one. When i first saw the hotel from outside, i was a little disappointed as this was the top choice budget hotel in lonely planet guide 2011 edition and my only reason for booking rooms at this hotel. But as i entered...

The hotel staff were great; very smart, helpful and friendly. My room was very spacious with a large en-suite bathroom. Tea and coffee were provided in the room as was bottled water. TV reception was not brilliant. WiFi is available and is free. The evening meal was very good and enjoyable. The hotel is in the middle of Thimpu and...

This hotel is right near the clock tower and has easy access to all of the main sights in Thimphu. Food is fantastic. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Location is quiet despite being centrally located and the service from the staff is fantastic.

The Hotel is in the centre of Thimpu next to the clock tower. It has big rooms and nice baths. The food in the restaurant was delicious as well. The service was really nice, especially the guy at the reception reception helped us several times!

We stayed at the Jumolhari at short notice when our trip to the east of Bhutan had to be cut short because of landslides. It's just up the hill from the Kisa and may be in the same management. The public areas are smaller but feel as though they've more recently been refurbished. Very central (get your souvenirs two doors...

We stayed here with a tour group. Room had very few electric sockets and not all were working. Portable heater barely kept the room warm. We had to use extra blankets to keep warm at night. Lots of dogs around the Hotel and at night it was quite nosiy.

We just passed one night there on our way to Dochula. It is clean and comfortable, but it could be anywhere (We like hotels that reflect the location). The breakfast is ok but has limited options. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Where to start, is it the street light at bed level one metre from the window, the pack of dogs barking all night in the empty lot next door or the maid in the service cupboard eating food and chatting on the phone. And that's the start. Add in Windows painted white in a supposed sitting room, mould in the...
