Hardly anything worked properly but to a certain extent it was fun to watch TIA at its best. 3 waitrons sitting around, looking at the guests without moving, (only cold) water that stops running right after you put shampoo on your head, service staff supposed to fix things coming only after you basically installed yourself at the reception, waitress disappeared... Chita Lodge has about a dozen rooms - most of them well furnished (pick Room 3). Decent food (though variety is limited) and great staff. During my stay Lusaka was gripped by power outages - Chita Lodge has a generator. Good WiFi speeds. Loud music at the bar from around 1800 until late. Not a bad thing except when some... More

I tried to say there in December 2015. The receptionist made a booking by phone and then told me she would email me, but never did. The next day I made another booking by phone and STILL never received a confirmation. I was then called just as I was about to arrive to say that the pipe in my room... More

Hi,i saw reviews so i thought to stay in this lodge.Rooms are very big and spacious.Ac is too far from your bed and it will hardly effect your room temperature. What made me to write worst review is that there were bugs on bed. There were cockroaches in washroom. They changed my room later but nothing was change at all.I had to check... Although Chita is well-decorated and aesthetically pleasing, I found in my brief stay many problems and annoyances -- burned out light bulbs, remote controls for which many buttons do not work, very poor lighting and no towel racks or toilet paper holders in the bathroom, shower heads that are much too high to get a good spray on your hair,... As an American, I'm trying to write this review for other Americans that have some travel experience in Africa. If this is your first visit to Africa, please lower your standards and realize that the level of hotels in America do not compare to African standards. To help you out, I'd equate the Chita Lodge to a very nice Motel... More

Chita has very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are nicely decorated & comfortable with air con. The bathrooms are spacious with choice of tub or shower (room 7) the pool area and gardens are clean with a well stocked bar which seems to be busy most nights (but not too noisy and close early) The restaurant has a limited menu... Chita has an amazing location about a 8 minute walk to Manda Hill and a good quiet neighborhood. It's a popular spot for people in the neighborhood to watch premiere league on the weekends and has a very social vibe. The rooms are big, clean and have great bathtubs. It also has a generator which is a must (especially as... More

The Management claims "Authentic African Hospitality". The hotel (guest house?) is very comfortable with lots of African crafts and arts strewn around the hotel like models of cheetahs, wild boar etc. The rooms are comfortable but the 1st floor rooms are a bit dingy and depressing due to their huge size and dim lighting. The bathrooms also occupy a large... More

Chita Lodge is a nice and comfortable lodge in Lusaka. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Chita Lodge offers a clean garden with a small pool-bar. During the weekends the bar is busy and loud until 23:00. If you are staying in one of the garden rooms, you might need to enjoy the other drink as well. Otherwise, the... More
