The worst of experiences, confirmed bookings not honoured, contacted manager who then just hung up the phone and wouldn't then again answer. I was also not the only person in the end who was left standing at reception for over an hour. Certainly one to give a miss, a horrible experience after a long day's travel.

We booked this terrible hotel and were notified an hour before arrival that they had no rooms so switched us to another hotel. We were already stuck in rush hour gridlock traffic close to the hotel we had originally booked into so decided to walk in the rain. When we arrived we were told they had to switch us to another hotel which after a 7 hour journey and sitting in rush hour traffic we were less than pleased with. The manager ‘Fred’ was less than useless and after numerous conversations he then refused to answer the phone to his own staff to try and solve our problem. We weren’t the only guests to have booked and then told there weren’t any rooms as 2 other guests turned up and were told the same but notified when they arrived. Absolute shambles of a place Avoid like the plague

Stayed two separate nights, first on the ground floor and second time on the first floor. The Internet was fine, the rooms were large but could do with a refurbishment. In the first room there was no shower curtain and in the second room, it was brought with the mosquito net which I requested. Not sure whether there was some repairs and maintenance going on since I could hear banging noises of possibly work in progress. Surprisingly on my second visit the price had gone down by $10 and was described as a discount offer. Food at breakfast in the garden was of a reasonable variety and quantities. Also had a business lunch there with traditional Ugandan food served from a separate meeting room. A clean place, but not very inspiring.

This hotel has the potential to be a real gem... but... Let me start with the positives - great location, very central; great service, with plentiful of staff trying to make your stay as comfy as possible; a charming building, a good Chinese restaurant nearby and the most nice, relaxing garden, with a few rabbits (the owners´ pets, I guess) running around. Ah, and for the lovers of classical music, someone playing piano later in the evening in a very pleasant way. The negatives, well, internet does not work sometimes, breakfast is not good and the hotel is quite tired, in particular the bathrooms - in mine, for example, the light was poor and the bath didn´t have a curtain. All in all my stay was pleasant but I couldn´t stop thinking that it could have been much better if the owners decided to invest some money improving the conditions of the hotel.

on way back from Bwindi I was not sure where to stay... kampala or Entebbe. So this overnight break in Kampala was a last minute decision and I just landed at hotel, negotiated rate and checked in. Evening shift staff Mr Fred was very nice, friendly and helpful in every sense of the word, regarding payment, helping with arranging tour next day etc He made the stay worthwhile and a very good experience. I would love to return to this small, home-like hotel
