This guest house is an excellent respite in the middle of the chaos of Kampala. With the quietness of the grounds, you really feel like you’re out of town...except that you can see town. It’s off a main road so it is very quiet. Everything is basic, but comfortable. When I come back to Kampala, I’ll stay here for sure. They also serve excellent food for additional cost. It’s worth it! We hosted a training here for a group of 30, and each hour prepared meal was excellent.
I spent several days at this location and found it adequate for my needs. The staff is quite accommodating and caring. We were a late night arrival and the staff accommodated us with a light meal. The rooms are clean and appropriately sized. The chef, Francis, is excellent as is all the staff—although his selection is quite limited. ADONAI GUEST HOUSE is conveniently located and within walking distance to shops and stores. It is also serviced by Uber. Although I saw no children, I would suggest it is family friendly.
I really loved the feel of this place, especially the wrap around patio and the grounds. It's off the major road, but a short walk will take you to a nice restaurant/bar, and a longer walk will take you to the entertainment district.
I was at the Adonai House in November and it was a great stay. I loved the staff and the room and bathroom were more than adequate. The breakfast was standard and omelets are available if you ask. I only was there for breakfast as my schedule kept me away until late at night. One nice thing about the guesthouse is if you walk a little bit you can head over the Holy Crepe, a very good crepe restaurant in Kampala. If you are looking for a very good room and a wonderfully friendly staff make sure you stay at the Adonai House. I'm sure I'll be back!
This is an amazing place to stay. Staff is welcoming & friendly. I would stay here anytime I am in Kampala. Breakfast was very good. Made eggs to order. Cocktail juice is very good. Beautiful grounds, rooms are comfortable with mosquito nets.
