I have visited Red Chilli a few times and never been disappointed. What impresses me most is that this is one of the very few places that you come away thinking 'Well, that was worth it!'. The facilities go far beyond what you would expect from what is essentially budget accommodation. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are very high in all... More

I've been staying with Red Chili every time I am in Kampala for 5 years now (and have also stayed at the Murchsin Falls location once). I always feel at home with their friendly staff and my safe, secure surroundings. This place is clean, convenient, comfortable and always welcoming. I highly recommend spending your time in Kampala here. Also free... More

We were was so much disappointed...... it was our first time at red chilli, we reached the reception we actually didn't know nothing. We expected to find some polite and skilled receptionist to tell us exactly what to do. But surprisingly we met a young gentleman called JJ, it was I, my sister and her two sons. The boys wanted... I stayed at red chilli on numerous occasions throughout my time in uganda (approx 12 nights in total) - it was incredibly useful to leave my large backpack in their locked storage when I went off on a trip somewhere for a few days. It also meant that my weary tired body knew that I had somewhere comfortable and friendly... More

Reaching here through the Kampala traffic feels a feat but well worth it. The location is peaceful & scenic & was the meeting place for the g-adventures tour. We arrived late afternoon & received a warm welcome, were shown to our rooms where we had a hot shower & a cup of coffee (there was a kettle & fridge in... More

We stayed in the dorms at the Red Chilli Hideaway for a few nights before and after taking Red Chilli's Big 5 Safari! The hostel has everything you need and it's great to get out of the crazyness of Kampala. The food is good, (especially the pizzas cooked in the wood fired oven at the pool bar!) and the service... Dear RichardandNicola I am so sorry that you were disappointed on arrival at Red Chilli. As we are a budget establishment (your room cost US$22.50 per person, ensuite) we don't have a 24 hour reception, though we do have 24 hour security. I can only apologise that your tour company did not inform you of this policy and how it... More
