I stayed one night in 2012 in this hotel, and even if the rooms are big, the bathroom is the smallest I ever had, a real adventure to reach the bath... The window in the room is very small, and does not allow to have enough light inside. Good wifi at the reception. The prices are, as always in sudan,... More

We stayed in the Taka Hotel for two nights in late December, 2012. There are not a lot of choices in the mid-range in Khartoum, but Taka seems a good value. It has a sort of dilapidated charm. We stayed here as a friend was staying at the same hotel. There was no water pressure at all in the shower and it barely trickled out. We managed to get a slightly better night rate by asking but only slightly. The breakfast whilst OK wasn't great and the best thing about it was a cup of tea, so you... More

It was hard to find a reasonable hotel in Khartoum given that there is so little information about hotels in Khartoum. We stayed two nights there and airport pick up was offered by the hotel. The room was spacious with en suite bathroom, very spacious and one of the best mattresses we ever slept in. Staff was extremely friendly and... More

Its Khartoum... you cant expect five star treatment but Taka tries hard to impress and in some ways its actually surprising if you come expecting no surprises. Well airconned and spacious (if you get the better rooms on the 2nd floor). In a nutshell its adequate for western standards, more like a 2 star hotel in a small country town... More
