The hotel itself is well located and the rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and a bar fridge to keep drinks and water cold. The balcony has a great view over the sea, beach and island nearby. WiFi though was very intermittent being great some days and some days it hardly worked. The conference rooms were incredibly warm if they... More

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst working in Dakar. The hotel is enormous but quite empty so it can feel quite odd. The pool is good, the food is nice and the rooms are basic but large with great views.I didn't get an airport pick-up or drop off despite booking both so double check this with reception. The best... I stayed there for a meeting. It is a very grandiose structure, with a somewhat mysterious architecture: all rooms are on one side of the hotel; there is a hallway with windows on the other, even though both sides look out to the water. Rooms are clean and spacious and come in (at least) two configurations: a flat one, that... More

This is not your run of the mill hotel. My first impression was that it was a bit bizarre. I was therefor six nights. By the end of my stay I came to the conclusion that I really quite liked it. The good points were: - The rooms are very spacious and have a good view. The bed is comfortable.... More

This is where I spent my first ever night in Africa. I moved to Africa and this was my stopping point on my way to Guinea-Bissau. It was amazing. My room had two levels in it. The bed was on the upper level. Air conditioning worked well. The space was clean, mosquito-free, and comfortable. It was a glorious place to... More

We were here for a two week conference. It was chosen because it is rather obscure and hidden, location wise, and suited us given the emerging security concerns in West Africa. Yet it has so much potential, if its owners could try and make it blend better into Dakar arts/landscape and invest a bit more. It was shabby in parts... More

I was put up here when a flight was cancelled. I frankly was very nervous to get to the hotel as I wasn't sure what it would end up like! However, my double room was basic but clean. The sheets were freshly laundered and the basin/toilet/shower was also clean. The room was spacious with separate WC and bathing area with... More

I stayed in this hotel for a recent business trip, and found nothing to complain about. The hotel has a nice construction so that all rooms have windows on both sides, with views of the bay and Ngor Island. The conference facilities were fine and the staff were courteous. I particularly enjoyed the food: good pastries at breakfast, nice salads... More

Dakar is one of the mor developed parts of West Africa so I'd have expected more from this hotel. The rooms are large and have windows on both sides giving ocean and city views. The rooms are split-level but the steps between the two levels are slippery marble and difficult to see in the dark. The hotel does not provide... More

I got stuck in this hotel because my flight was cancelled and we were transferred there in the middle of the night. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. The rooms are two storey and reasonably clean. The hotel is very worn out and outdated. It's quite hot and the small aircon unit needs to run for... More
