We stayed at La Maison Abaka for almost a week. We liked being in N'gor, on the "working" beach; fun to walk on, always something to watch like bathing the goats in the ocean on the weekends, but not a place to swim. The people working here are friendly, but not as helpful as we would have liked in terms... More

Been there between 31st dec and 8th jan in solo-traveling. I planned to stay at Maison Abaka for about 3 or 4 days and ended up remaining for a week! Had a fantastic time! The place is in Ngor beach, just few minutes from the airport and right on the beach. The terrace has a stunning view of Ngor island... More

I suppose people love this place because of its location: smack on the beach at Plage de N'Gor, with a nice view of the pirogues and the N'Gor Island, and close to the airport. But. The terrace where you can enjoy the nice view is less than 3 metres wide (6 if you count the restaurant area). The so-called pool... More

I had a great week staying at la Maison Abaka. The staff (Libasse, Cher, Alassane and Gnagna) was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean - although personally I do wish that there were doors on the bathroom and not curtains - and the AC works very well. The terrace is nicely decorated and has... We stayed here for a long weekend and went diving with the on site dive shop. The room had a nice view on the sea. So far the great part. Otherwise, construction works were ongoing, we couldn't use the pool and part of the outside area. The removal of paint from the walls left the breakfast area covered with small... More

Very nice location (a good beach, though rather filthy, but clean by Senegalese standards); just across the way is a cute island, accessible in 2 minutes by pirogue. Fairly quiet hotel. Best room is top floor. Friendly staff. Only catch: 50 euros for two nights for breakfast, which is ridiculous. Also, avoid the wine, have a beer or juice instead.

We spent 10 fantastic days at Maison ABAKA with my daughter Camille 5 years, enjoying beach, surf, swimming pool and visits around the place. Thanks to Isabelle and all the staff for the kindest welcoming, we highly recommend this place! Benjamin & camille

Right from the airport pickup to my departure, the team was helpful. In the mornings, Isabelle would join us for coffee and share stories of the dog, cats, pelican, monkey etc who co-habit... More

This is a hard review to write because there were so many amazing things I enjoyed about Abaka. It is not slick or polished, but it is very laid back, right on the water and feels like a true part of the village. Super easy to get to Ngor Island too. I loved sitting in the cozy bar overlooking the... More
