This is a boutique hotel that has fallen on hard times. The good news: my room was clean and very quiet, and the price is very good. The bad news: the common areas of the hotel are shabby. Signs announce that a renovation is in progress, but meanwhile no effort is made to contain the dust or to fix the crumbling infrastructure.

Booked 2x rooms for a business trip. On arrival (after 26 hours traveling) they told us rooms not accessible due to technical problems? After debating in the reception I talked to the Hotel Manager on the phone complaining about their poor service level as we booked 3 weeks in advance and on arrival they tell us no rooms available. We were offered rooms in an other hotel, however, immediate payment, we didn't even know the state of the other hotel but we had to pay. The shuttle brought us there. Forget the ONOMO, there are many other, much better hotels like The Palms or the YAAS, superior service levels compared to the ONOMO Hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

Arrived to Dakar on a night flight. Arrive to the hotel with a voucher paid for 2 nights and 2 rooms. Go to reception a the receptionist answer to us we don't have a room to you! we say but we have a voucher paid, what will you do? He phone to the Hotel Manager and answer to us, I don't do noting, is your problem we don't have a room! After some time in a discussion we, not him!, arrange a room in other hotel. So we ask him if he could find us an secure taxi. his answer, is your problem go to the street to find! Conclusion. If you have a reservation, dont bellieve on it!. I had a reservation on return for the same hotel in Casablanca and canceled it! dont belleive on them!

I spent a day in the hotel for a workshop. The staff were friendly but the facilities were dated. This has to be looked at because it just gives the impression that it is an old place with very little maintenance. The lunch was really good, it was a buffet and all the meals were tasty. My favorite was their paella which was made with local rice.

Arrived Dakar after a long flight from Lagos. Check in was fast and smooth, however the first room I was given had a damp smell and I had to change to another. The shower area is within the room, just beside the bed separated by a wall with openings. Quite a strange design as all hotel rooms I have stayed in had the toilet and shower in a separate enclosed space with a door. The toilet however was in an enclosure with a door. The sink is right inside the room. The room was clean, comfortable. The safe wasn't bolted to the wall making it unsafe to keep valuables in when not in the room. I requested for it to be bolted twice but nothing was done. The receptionist "Rose" was very helpful being an English speaker she made the extra effort to try and understand me and booked a good room for me on my return from Saly. The free breakfast was good as well as the dinner, although they had no Senegalese meal on the menu.
