A closet that won't close, a bath tub that doesn't hold water, not even water is complimentary, room phone dead, I don't know what was in the hotel that I can mention as even averagely standard or good. It was a horrible experience to stay in the hotel, thankfully it was only a night, but twice. The staff was the... More

I stayed here for two nights this October and I can say I had a really good time. Nice and very helpful reception staff, nice chic and spacious room with abstract decorations, located in the very heart of Dakar close to all the administrative buildings and embassies. Breakfast was nice and a decent bar for chillaxing. Will definitely stay here... More

I booked two rooms for Monday 7th October through 'bookings@dakar-travels.com' and paid through a well-known credit card. The money was lifted from that card, but neither the booking or the money reached the management of the Al Afifa. The manager stated clearly that this was my problem, not his, and insisted on payment. He claimed never to have heard of... More

I was attending a conference for a fellowship, which was held at this hotel. We used a decent conference room setup, with retro/groovy decor! The hotel rooms were nice, with nice bathrooms, tv, ac, mini fridge, and desk. The rooms were very smoky smelling though. The conference had been promised a breakfast included in the price of the rooms, which... More

When I arrived at the hotel it was 3 am, the reception area is big enough for 1 person to stand behind the counter and had a dingy smell, it smelled better in the morning with the doors open. The room was also smelly, aircon too loud, fortunately it was cold so i turned off the aircon so I could... More

Hotel reception is very dark inside, room fairly dated and dangerous A/C - switch was broken in my room so you have to press the fuse into place and watch the sparks jump....hmmm. Free wifi in the room - you have to get a daily voucher from reception but it seemed to work without any problem. Hotel seems to be... More
