When you arrive it is not very easy to see where the hotel is, the entrance structure is quite strange, however, once in everyone is very friendly. They are really quick to attend to your needs. I got a room downstairs but it was full of mosquitoes, and I suspect the net was not treated as they were all over the net. I did however get my repellent and the bug spray they used, which did not work that much. Otherwise, the room was cool, clean and spacious enough. I enjoy the architecture and design of it all. It is a well located hotel, and close to other restaurants and hotels and has a small supermarket just nearby which is open till very late at night. You also have easy access to transport!
I am on a business trip and found this nice little hotel in front of the UN offices. Friendly staff, very helpful although all is very minimal. Internet is working well and fast. Overall a very good price quality offer.
I was in Dakar during a period when there were several conferences ongoing. All hotels were fully booked. I went from hotel to hotel looking for a room and came to The Lodge. Excellent location, on the main road to several other hotels and UN offices. The staff received me with highest professionalism and compassion to my situation. They managed to rearrange a few things and offer me a room. The room is very good, clean, very comfortable bed, super fast Wi FI, and clean bathroom with hot water at all times. Great breakfast and beautifully decorated restaurant. Only one down side: No English language channels on the TV except for CNN. I would Highly recommend the hotel.
I stayed here one night as they only had availability for one and most of the hotels near my work were booked. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly though I arrived quite late, the room was clean, and they even provided an airport pick up. The price is well worth it for Dakar for what you get.
Very basic rooms. Hard/thin mattresses. TV had a problem. "The kitchen staff went on leave for 1 month", so no restaurant, no food room service, poor breakfast. But wifi was good (maybe because the hotel was quasi empty)
