Visiting a place for the first time can be a scary experience. My friends and I looked up this little hidden gem on the internet and immediately contacted the host whose response was prompt. As promised, he did pick us up from the bus park and took us to this serene place. Ooh the rooms are spacious and clean, with hot showers. His staff is accomodative and welcoming. Not forgetting the scrumptious breakfast and strong Wi-Fi. Indeed a peaceful home away from home.

I recently stayed at Peaceful Home for 10 days and it was a wonderful experience. I stayed with a friend in the apartment which is nicely furnished and has all you need to have a comfortable stay. The staff was so friendly, accommodating and always there to help. We felt at home from the beginning. A very compellling feature is the quiet garden in which we had breakfast and enjoyed the rwandan sun. I highly recommed this place and will happily return when I return to Kigali. Although you can see but not hear the end of the Kigali International airport runway from the garden which has spectacular views across Kigali; you will struggle to find it and our taxi driver took us to and abandoned us at the wrong place at 1.00 am but when you get there down a muram road behind an unmarked gate you find a splendid guest house, friendly hosts and good accommodation. I took the apartment so my driver could stay there too. It was really spacious - huge lounge, two nice bedrooms and a bathroom toilet between. It also has a simple kitchen so you could stay there a few days and be really self contained or you could do as I did and rely on their hospitality which was fantastic. They also washed some clothes for me. They also found I had left a bag and brought it to me the other side of town and they came and found us after we had been abandoned at the wrong place and took us to where we should be. You could not ask for better service and will rarely ever find it. I will be forever grateful for that one night and day stay - thank you Providence. Points to note they say they accept credit cards they don;t but it is very good value for money - I think the whole apartment was £42 a night including breakfast for both of us which my driver had at 3.00 pm without the slightest fuss when he came back with the car which had broken down. For a city location it is really peaceful, and really homely - perhaps the best place I have stayed at in Kigali and great for the airport provided you can find it!!!
