Nice hotel in the heart of Kigali. Lovely and clean pool in a small, well maintained garden. The breakfast is really good: buffet with a selection of bread, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pâté and french pastries. The hotel itself it not very modern or charming, but everything is clean, well kept and the staff is very helpfull with every request.
Stayed for a couple of days prior to a Gorilla Trek. Excellent staff, clean rooms and a great breakfast. The pool was lovely to cool down in after a day of whizzing round the city on Moto's. Definitely worth staying at and only a short walk from decent cafes/ restaurants.
Had a 5 night stay in this hotel. Bed and breakfast only, lovely breakfast lots of choice cereals, breads cheese, meats, fruits, eggs fried, scrambled, omlette, great Rwandan coffee and tea. Room was comfortable requested extra pillows good night's sleep. Small bathroom but good shower hot water ever time. No air conditioning and no fan in room so could be hot in the hot dry season. Lovely staff very helpful found us a good taxi service back to airport. Although no dinner served the hotel Mille Collin is only 50 m up the road which serves good food and entertainment on Sunday afternoon. Short walk into center. Talking Grey parrots in lobby
If you're looking for a beautiful little boutique hotel in town with a fab breakfast, Le Garni is your place! I stayed for 6 nights on a conference in Kigali and couldn't have been happier. My room was large and very comfortable, with a great shower, and a patio right out onto the garden and pool area. The staff are kind and very helpful. And the price is great given the location! Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.
This hotel is a small independent hotel situated amongst much bigger neighbours. It is an oasis of calm in a busy modern part of the city. The standard rooms are basic but spotless with everything you require and a balcony view of the beautiful tropical gardens and the small meticulously maintained pool. Pool is not heated so can be described as 'bracing' depending on the weather! The owner and staff are more than helpful and the ambience is peaceful and comes complete with log fire in the evening and parrots in the foyer! Breakfast was lovely with a small but varied buffet and various cooked options of eggs. Although in the 2016 Bradt guide it says the restaurant is open for lunch/dinner by request, they clearly no longer do this. However the Hotel Galaxy next door has a decent restaurant and bar open to non residents and there are other eateries within walking distance. My only niggles would be that there is no way of getting a tea or coffee during the day; (mini bar for cold drinks) and as there is no aircon or even fans in the room it might get a little warm in the hot weather (OK when we were there). there are screened doors and windows so you could leave them open I guess. mosquito nets are provided. Would definitely stay here again.…
