The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a lovely powerful shower with lashings of hot water both morning and evening. It has a really nice outside seating area for meals/drinks and a small garden Kigali is a loud and vibrant city but the Iris has an... More

I've stayed at the Iris on 3 different occasions, and each time has been made great by the customer service. The rooms are a little dated, but you won't find rooms in Rwanda that aren't a little dated without a hefty price tag. Location is prime as well - close to hotel, city center, etc. Breakfast was hot and fresh... More

Rwanda can be expensive, which is conflict with the income of the Rwandese people. I have stayed at this little guesthouse for the past 6 years with a group. And I have always been very happy (except when the French ambassador's dog lived next door and barked all night). No, it is not luxurious. It is a small guesthouse in... More

I was very looked after at Iris Guest House, and the setting was brilliant for exploring Kigali. It is a hotel for holidays and expeditions more than business travel, however, but I will not hesitate to stay there again as a tourist - and bring the family.

We asked for a room for 3 people and we got a whole house for us! It was unexpected, it was good, the house was spacious, we had 2 bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and a washroom downstairs. It wasn't expensive, it was the normal price. Rooms were clean, breakfast was ok.

The guesthouse is in the middle of Kigali, close to the Mille Colline and the home of Mister Kagame. The rooms are clean, have everything needed. The staff is extraordinary, very friendly and helpful (thank you Ignance, Christoph and Martine). I can highly recommend Iris at the perfect place to stay in Kigali.

When visiting Kigali, my wife and I will most often stay at the Iris Guest house. It is a good value and has great staff and customer service. The stay includes a basic breakfast, and the kitchen offers a simple menu for snacks and meals.

We stayed in Iris Guest-House in december 2015 for 10 days as a family with 2 kids. We had an appartement of two sleeping rooms and a sitting room. Each room had its bath/ or shower room. Our 4 years' old daughter once felt sick. The staff helped us in all possible ways, asking for news too, till she recovered.... More

My co-workers and I spent a few days at the Iris Guesthouse while on business in Kigali and couldn't have been happier with our budget accommodations. While our room was a little cramped and quite dated in terms of both decor and amenities, we hadn't expected more than that from a budget hotel in a fantastic location. Where Iris gets... More

I love the Iris. Situated near the French Embassy, in a quiet, comfortable, and safe neighborhood – the Iris Guesthouse was for us a little oasis of good feel, after traipsing through Uganda for ten days. We were tired and needed something soft. A stone’s throw from city centre, and some pleasant places to eat (Heaven Restaurant and Khana Khazana... More
