My wife and I booked and arranged to stay at La Posh in Kigali. We arranged a transfer from the airport with them, but the car broke down en route. Instead we arranged a taxi...and when we arrived the front desk staff ran out to the cab and paid the driver, apologizing for the transfer dilemma. We were very happy with this care and handling, and enjoyed our stay in this clean and respectable 3 star hotel. The continental breakfast was nice in a charming solarium. This hotel really cares about their guests.

Clean hotel, good location in the center of the city. Basic breakfast, but it did not start early enough for my conference start time. Walking distance from tourist shops and food store. Management always helped to find me taxis and boda bodas (motorcycles), but not as helpful in suggesting places to see as a tourist.

I have to leave a review for this place - their manager Kandar gave the best customer service I’ve ever seen. When I arrived the airline had lost my bag so I had no clothes or toothbrush. As it was late Kandar immediately sent one of the staff out to get me a toothbrush and toothpaste. He also took details of my bag and personally chased it the following day. When it was available he asked the hospital driver to take me to the airport and back to collect it. All for free. The hotel itself is in a good location near some lovely bars (Abumwe rooftop bar is a must). Air con and mosquito nets in rooms. Limited English tv channels and WiFi is a bit slow but I think that’s the norm in Rwanda. All in all a great place to call home when away.

Visited Kigali in March to present at a conference. Since it was my spring break I decided to stay for another 10 days after the conference. I wanted to be closer to the city center so ckeckef out of my hotel and booked 4 nights at this hotel. Big mistake! The long, and hallways had bery little lighting throughout my stay. The room was a bit unkempt. I wanted to leave but I was afraid that o would have a problem since I had already booked for 4 nights. So I decided, what the heck, I am alone so would ruff it. There was no directory in the room; to call the front desk, I had to find the hotel number in my email. When i did get the front desk I reported this and up until I checked out, no one brought a directory. The same for a menu, none in the room and none was brought after i complained. The mosquito net had a very bad smell, I took it down and called and asked for another, it was never replaced. Breakfast was very limited. Frankly the room, the long, the restaurant, the whole place needed a good cleaning. The location is great, right in the city center but the place and the staff need a lot of work. I was so happy to leave and book another hotel the remaining 6 days in lovely Kigali. I must say that the staff did try to be friendly; I would recommend more customer service training; I am not a pickie customer or difficult to please.

Arrived here from Kigali airport completely exhausted after long long flight from Brussels via Entebbe. The staff could not have been more kind and gracious. I slept really well, felt totally refreshed the next morning and enjoyed the buffet breakfast, a perfect espresso, and the hospitality from the staff. All of them are really wonderful. Hotel was a great value. Also about that espresso: I am a coffee fanatic and this probably was the best coffee I ever drank in seven African countries -- and I've been to quite a few coffee places and coffee roasters all over ZA and just toured a coffee cooperative here in Rwanda. So my congrats to them on a job well done!
