Bustling atmosphere in secure spacious environment. Friendly if slow service. Breakfast had reasonable selection of fruit, cold and hot meats and eggs etc. Swimming pool and bar etc. Rooms and general infrastructure all a bit past their best.

Rooms are good, neat and comfortable. Behaviour of hotel staff is very good. It's Located at the bank of river Niger. It's one of the best hotel in town. They provide pick n drop service from hotel to airport without any charge. But price is bit high for the facilities they provide. All rooms are with wifi connection, but internet speed is slow....

This is one of the great hotels in Niamey, located at the bank of Niger river, rooms are great...breakfast is good, there is no gym felicity but for active lifestyle they have a big pool you can do few laps on it and also a tennis court.

Folks, keep in mind Niger is currently rated as the poorest country in the world, which means a five star hotel does not exist in Niamey - don't bother looking. The Gaweye is certainly popular with business travelers and is considered to be one of the safer, 'higher end' hotels. My room was in a sad state - carpet, walls...

The hotel is one of the better ones in Niamey. The rooms are tidy, beds are comfortable and people are friendly. The food is good, but you need to speak with the cooks for how you like the meat cooked or the pizza's made. The biggest frustration is the internet. They need to ensure good quality. It drops out or...

There are not many options in Niamey, apparently there's a Chinese hotel that has recently been built and it's supposed to be 5 star which I doubt but I did not get to see it. I stayed at the Gaweye hotel on a business trip for 2 nights. It is not a 4 star hotel and should likely be rated...

The infra seems to be old but still it is well maintained considering the political circumstances of the country. Good pool area and pizza near the pool side is good. Break fast is usually good. Televisions needs a revamp.

Felt on edge at the hotel with little sleep. Security was light the first night and doubled the second. It was apparent that security depends on if there are dignitaries in house. Room did not cool down with the old air conditioning. Pool was dirty with a non working pump. In looking for a light snack at the boutique, they...

This being my first visit to Niamey, I had no idea what to expect. Overall, the relatively large hotel seemed to have had its glory days which were long gone. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, however the room was old, had some damage in the bathroom and was not very clean. The hotel is located along the banks...
