You feel the nature, not only in the Park but at the hotel also. The electiricity is given to the rooms after 6p.m. Until that time, there is no electiricity. You should pay attention, because we have seen a scorpion in the room. The room must be checked before installation. Having tea at the terasse is very relaxant.

This place was build to accommodate Valery Giscard D, French president on his hunting trips. Remember you are in Niger, security is up and down, so at the end of the day, the place is great! Food up and down, drinks ok, there is a 1982 spirit there, but the serenity is great.

Tapoa Hotel is a real Beauty in a very remote part of the Republic of Niger. It is about 2 hours drive from Niamey and the road is in an excellent and suprisingly good condition (when considering most of the detoriated roads in the Niger). The rooms are airconditioned and comfortable and clean. There is hot water because the month...

There was good and bad at this hotel. The prices were great and very cheap and the view was excellent in the first couple rooms. It was right next to Parc W which was a great plus if you were going for the game park. You could hear lions right from the hotel. The bad part of the hotel, was...

To dampen expectation, have to remember that Parc W is not like the well known reserves in Kenya, Tanzania or South Africa. There is wildlife here, but there is less of it and you have to work to see it. More importantly there is no established culture of local guiding - we actually had to explain to the "guide" some...

I just came back from a 8 day trip to Niger. I stayed for 6 days in the Tapoa hotel at the entrance of the natural Parc W. The great thing of the environment is that you can easily combine Wildlife watching (buffalo's, crocodiles, deer, several types of monkeys, hippopotamus and more) and solidarity with the local population. This can...
