Welcome to Immanuel Lodge. An oasis of tranquility in the Namibian savannah. We're located just minutes from the city of Windhoek, but you wouldn't guess it. Out here in the bush, it feels like you're a thousand miles from anywhere. Breathe in the clean, crisp air. Gaze out across the grassy plains that stretch to the horizon beneath an endless blue sky. This is the real Namibia - the landscapes, the animals, the people. The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge lets you experience it all up close, without sacrificing comfort. We're a family-run business that offers quality amenities, a "gemütlich" atmosphere and award winning German-African cuisine. So join us. Come to relax, to unwind, to discover. Immerse yourself in the mystery and majesty of the Namibian wilderness. Our rooms offer cosy comfort and a rustic, authentic Namibian atmosphere. The thatched roofs and ceiling fans keep the temperature pleasant year round, whether you're visiting in the hot months of summer or the middle of winter. All rooms have their own ensuite bathroom with 24-hour hot water. While the sublime surroundings may tempt you to sit back with a good book and relax all day, there's so much more to explore in the local area. We offer guided tours to nearby farms, where you'll see the mythical wildlife for which Africa is famous, such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. The Kavango carver's market is a great place to experience local artisan culture and pick up some souvenirs. And just 20km to the south lies Windhoek, the nation's capital, with its colourful streets and distinctive German atmosphere. Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is perfectly situated in a central location. You can reach any of these sites in just a few minutes' drive.

Dear Stephan, we enjoyed ours last 2 days of our camping tour through Namibia a lot, while just staying at your lodge. The service is excellent, the pool area great and the deap tissue massage was wonderful! Last but not least the 4 course dinner was delicious and worth to come again and again.

One of the best places we've stayed in Windhoek. Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Family rooms available. Tastefully decorated. Lots of attention to detail. Emergency horns in rooms (not sure what that says about the area!). Food at the restaurant was outstanding, both for dinner and breakfast. Set menu for dinner, with children's option. Not having a kids desert while including it with the adult meal is a bit of an own goal really though! Lots of disappointed kids. Good bar with very good cocktail menu. Lots of nice areas to relax. Pool. No TV in rooms. Aircon in rooms. Beds had a sort of high density foam mattress which was hot to lie on and that is probably the main drawback of this place. Slightly more expensive option for overnight, but food made it worth the visit. If they get some decent mattresses it would make our "must stay" list for Windhoek.

May 2022 - One night stay. We stayed at Immanuel Lodge as a ‘transit stop’ to break up the long drive from the Kalahari to Etosha East. Our advisor at NTS recommended this lodge for its food service and it did not disappoint. Our dinner was one of the best meals we had during our month long self drive in Namibia. Wow. Truly an epicurean delight. Plus we sampled the game meats cured and sliced as part of the breakfast buffet on excellent bread. The room was fairly basic, clean and well maintained, designed for family with a sleeping loft above a double bed en-suite. Nice patio area seating and lodge had a nice pool. Convenient to the B1 road but very quiet at night. Staff was super friendly. It was worth the price of the room stay just for the excellent dinner!

A country lodge that offers excellent service and and quality of food. The perfect atmosphere to start a trip with a lodge close to Windhoek, but offering a countryside feeling. The rooms are in a large garden around the main lodge building.

We stayed at Immanuel Wilderness Lodge for our first night in Namibia, before hitting the road towards reserves and Etosha. It was lovely, just a 20-30 min drive from Windhoek. Dinner was excellent ; the best we’ve had in Namibia so far and the place felt like a home away from home ❤️ I would only comment the rooms that felt a little “simple” in relation to the price (mostly beds and bathroom) but overall we enjoyed it very much!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We can especially recommend the dinner which was cooked right in front of us by a very great chef. We will definitely be back when we are back in this great country. All the best!

Even though our stay was brief, we had so much fun. Very friendly staff and the food divine. Absolutely feels like one is deep in the wilderness even though you are a stone throw away the bustling city.

It was great pleasure to be away from noise and air pollution for one day with my family. My two kids enjoyed the swimming and wanted us to stay long. We will definitely take a weekend trip next year.

Very helpfull owners, certainly in these 'covid-times' The lodge is not far from Windhoek, which is a great stop either starting your trip or ending. Nice garden with swimmingpool. Friendly staff. The rooms are small but comfortable. But is worthwhile to stay more than one night. Reason:great breakfast and for sure diner -baie lekker !
