I stayed twice in this guesthouse and was very satisfied with service. It's not on busy street, so location is very quiet. Breakfast are nice, rooms are clean. Comfortable place to spend a night before leaving for desert adventure.

Rivendell is run by nice and helpful people and is locatded in a safe area of Windhoek. Only 10 - 15 minutes walk away from towncenter and the big shoppingmall. Another 10 minutes walk to some of the big sights.

We stayed for almost a week at Rivendell while visiting our daughter who was living and studying only a block away! The accommodations were wonderful as we had the unit with air conditioning - perfect for my asthmatic husband. We also had a small kitchenette which allowed us to cook for ourselves on a few occasions. The breakfasts were incredible... More

Rivendell is my first choice for overnight stays in Windhoek on my annual visits to Namibia. It is clean, welcoming and safe, within walking distance of the centre of Windhoek. The staff are always welcoming and ready to deal with all queries. There is a kitchen available for guests to use, hot water bottles for the freezing July nights, a... More

Stayed two nights here at the start and end of a Namibian safari trip. Both times had a very comfortable room to stay in, one next to the pool, the other in the main building. Friendly, helpful staff makes it a relaxing place to stay. Great breakfast and you can use the kitchen facilities yourself. Quiet neighbourhood to stay in... More

After a long flight this hotel made us feel we had arrived in Namibia. It is unique in style, has a lovely courtyard for resting, good for little birds, and plants are well kept. We found the breakfast to be good range and the the cooked food delicious. Our room was basic but that was all we needed for one... More

Arriving late in the evening after a 33 hrs trip, all I wanted was a nice comfortable bed.... and here it was. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. In the morning I enjoyed a good english breakfast for just 5 euro! This place is great value, has a nice garden with a small but refreshing swimmingpool. The... More

We were told that the transfer to the airport was free, but on the day we should go to the airport, the service wasn't available and we had to pay for the cab. Bathroom a little bit dirty. The breakfast was very weak. The pool was nice and the water clean.
