Galton House was a lovely respite between the legs of trips with Wild Dog Safaris. On our first visit, Arabella took wonderful care of us; laundry, arranging a car for us to visit a safe ATM and going so far as to lend my friend a pillow for our next leg for one night of camping. Both the dinner and... More

We stayed at Galton House for 2 nights at the start of our recent holiday in Namibia. It was everything you want from a small (boutique?) hotel: friendly helpful staff, stylish rooms, beautiful common area with sofas and books where you can chill before dinner, cool outside area with a lovely pool, delicious food. It is a short drive from... More

I found in the Galton House a very comfortable accommodation in a quiet area. Helpful and friendly staff made my stay to be be rememenbered as a very pleasant experience. The food is good - so no dinner trips to the City are necessary - the considerable distance from the Center is therefore no big disadvantage.

Pleasant quiet stop over when we arrived in Windhoek. Spent a relaxing afternoon by the small pool enjoying the sun. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly. Staff are happy to suggest places to eat and arrange taxi. Onsite secure parking and staff helpful

After 2 flights to get to Namibia from the UK Galton House was an oasis of peace and calm. The staff couldn't do enough to help, advising us on where to eat, as we wanted to go out rather than eat there (the menu did look very good though) and ordering a taxi for our return trip. Our room, facing... More

This hotel is conveniently located and offers clean, quiet and secure lodgings. The rooms are all appointed with ample lighting, storage, linens and clean, comfortable beds with fresh sheets. The shower was powerful with ample hot water. There is a small desk with appliances for tea and coffee. The room is also equipped with a small safety box. The property... More

We had a lovely stay at Galton House. Rooms were clean and the aircon was a treat. Just wish I could have switched the glowing green light off of it. The bed was typical Namibian and very firm. The coffee was great.

Compared to the Wilderness Safari Camps we stayed in during most of our 3 week vacation, this place was severely lacking! The room was of average size but, the bed was rock hard and most uncomfortable. The only redeeming features of this place was a decent breakfast with eggs made to order and the fact that the manager was quite... More

Thank you very much for your feedback, it truly is valued. I am afraid that comparing our establishment to a Wilderness Safari camp may be a little unfair, especially considering that our establishment charges one tenth of what the cheapest Wilderness Safaris camp charges. I am delighted you enjoyed our breakfast and that our staff was helpful, as that is... More

We stayed at Galton House's only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Rooms were large and spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was very functionnal and nicely designed. A special mention for their great breakfast.

This was our first stop (and final stop) on a family tour. Rooms are spacious and located around a central court. Main staff is friendly and helpful although room staff is essentially non-English speaking. Excellent breakfast consisting of a buffet with cooked options. Location is a bit of a walk from center city and not convenient for walking after hours... More
