I stayed for 5 nights in this paradise and I wish I had stayed longer. From the point I was picked up from the airport in a nice car with cold beverages to the point I was dropped off at the airport, it was nothing but perfection. The staff could not have been any nicer. The two managers, the food and beverage manager, Christine, Shelonie and all the rest went out of their way to ensure that my stay is exceptional. I’m missing them already and I hope a huge warm thank you is passed on to each one of them. The food was very fresh and absolutely delicious 🤤!!! There was always a verity of options and the menu was changed every day! The service is top notch. Housekeeping was simply perfect. Not only did they look after everything meticulously, they also managed to do it without me noticing. Other hotels have a schedule and the housekeepers show up at some point. Here, they waited until I was having breakfast or lunch and did their magic without ever interfering with my plans. I also loved the excursions. They were well organised, well equipped and absolute fun. Having completed my Namibian trip and stayed in the best seven hotels in Namibia, I would say Omaand is by far my favourite. Unfortunately, it was so good that I would have to try the other Zannier hotel in Kapadokia. I would have to stay at Omaanda every time I visit Namibia. Well done to the management and the staff.

Stayed at Omaanda my last two nights in Namibia, what a great way to end a holiday! The decor at this luxury lodge is fantastic and very interesting. The lodge was spotless and the views amazing. The staff at Omaanda were beyond helpful and ensured that the food, lodge and safari drives were perfect. Naomi was very friendly and gave me many tips, she shared information about life in Namibia. Marcia?(waitress) was nice and extremely attentive to the types of food and drinks I loved. The food was plentiful; super fresh and delicious!!!!!! I requested room service for breakfast, had avocado toast with smoked salmon. They strive to provide a unique and personalized experience for their guests. The excursion and Guide was great as well. I had the opportunity to see Rhinos, elephants, giraffes and many other animals on the drive. I left Omaanda convinced that this was one of the greatest travel experiences I’ve had, hopefully I can return soon.

Not too far from Windhoek airport this luxury lodge was a welcome rest at the end of our multi lodge safari in Namibia. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the luxury accommodation and very attentive staff. The food was excellent, swimming pool sublime, and our extra ‘walk with the cheetahs’ was a an experience to cherish. Apologies to the staff that at the end of our trip I did not have much cash left for a decent tip but we really enjoyed our stay - thank you for your kindness and attention.

Omaanda is a high end boutique hotel, truly amazing, but maybe somewhat over the top, so I would not call it a lodge! As said before, the staff is wonderful! When we asked to have dinner on our terrace, it was not a problem so we had very relaxed dinners “at home”! The food is totally delicious. We believe that the mission of the reserve should actually be marketed as a great sanctuary for rhinos and other wild animals. That would be more truthful. The rescued animals remain for 2 to 3 years in the reserve and when they are ready, they are transferred back to the wilderness. The visit to the Shiloh sanctuary was no doubt the highlight of our stay and should not be missed! The explanation by Ivan about how the rangers protect the animals against poachers during their stay in the reserve should be compulsory for all guests to understand the real mission of the reserve! We had an interesting, very worthwhile learning experience and enjoyed every minute!

Dear Mamitanl, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about Omaanda and letting the world know about our lodge. Especially as we have recently opened, your comments are hugely important for us, not only so that other travelers might get to know us and feel more confident to make a reservation, but also for us to improve. Your remark about how the reserve is marketed, is a fair point and we agree with you. At this very moment we are in the process of changing the narrative of our communication. As one other person already mentioned here on tripadvisor, we are not a typical safari destination. As you so correctly describe, we are more a private sanctuary. Many of our animal residents, were actually saved from a conflict situation with humans. As it is our hope that one day we can set them free, it is crucial that they keep their survival instinct and their wildness intact. This makes the Zannier reserve different from other game reserves and it is not for granted that whilst going on a drive on our private reserve you will see our lions, giraffes, elephants, wild dogs, rhinos, cheetahs… Sometimes they hide. But for me that makes it all the more special when you do see them. It is very important that our guests know and understand the true mission of the reserve and that one can know what to expect. So thank you for making this point. The whole team thanks you for the wonderful comments about our staff. Your compliments let them shine with joy. And we thank you for the lovely compliments on the food. We love that you so much appreciated the visit to the sanctuary and the explanations by Ivan and the wonderful work the anti-poaching unit does for our reserve. With the kindest regards, On behalf of the Omaanda team, Annelie Maes

Our experience at Omaanda was unforgettable from the moment we set foot in the breathtaking hotel. We were welcomed and waited on by warm, hospitable, professional, and considerate staff members. We enjoyed the conversations and passions they shared. They carefully and thoughtfully helped us to plan our daily schedule to ensure a balance of adventure in the savannah and relaxation at the hotel and the spa. Each “hut”, spacious and comfortable, has an indoor fireplace and an outdoor terrace with an incredible view of the savannah. The decoration is thoughtful, authentic, and impactful. I recommend the Touch of Namibia massages. The food is delicious. The pool is overlooking the reserve and while you are swimming or just chilling, you might probably see warthogs, oryx, kudus and baboons passing by. Breathtaking! We went on a few game drives in the reserve. Every game drive that we had during our stay offered something new and exciting and each time our guide had good knowledge of all the animals to share with us and was quick to spot animal. Afternoon game drive end with a breathtaking sunset that you admire while sipping a local cocktail, can't ask for more ! Omaanda is in a class of its own; the concept and experience that it creates is simply magical. I could write pages about just how amazing this place is, but I do not want to spoil anyone’s surprise as there is so much more in store for Omaanda's guests. All that is left to say is a huge thank you to everyone at Omaanda. You have given us the most incredible memories that will last a lifetime.
