I stayed at Mon Choix for 4 nights as part of my Mauritius trip in March. Jean Michel & Joan are very lovely people. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The first night I arrived Joan made me a welcome drink and I had a lovely typical Mauritian dinner. Throughout my stay they would give...

We spent 3 beautiful days in the home of Joan and Jean-Michel. Welcome dinner and breakfast were as generous and lovingly arranged as the room and the bathroom we had. Our landlords were very openhearted and helpful in any way. And it is the perfect starting point for walks into the amazing bizarre mountains above Port Louis. We highly want...

A real B&B ("English style") in the surrounding mountains near Port Louis- quite far away from the centre, you definitely need a car or use the offered taxi service of friendly Vinod! Varied breakfast with freshly prepared eggs from lovely Joan. Common area with a huge terrace overlooking the valley to the sea. Geckos, birds, dogs and some monkeys are...

I stayed at Mon Choix for a week while on business in Mauritius. The accommodation is clean and attractive and has consistent wifi signal. Hosts Jean-Michel and Joan were incredibly hospitable and although I was the only guest at the time (the upstairs room was occupied by family), a full breakfast spread was available each morning on the terrace with...

We stayed 3 nights in Mon Choix two weeks ago and to be honest this place is very Special. The poeple, Jean-Michel and his wife Joan were absolutely helpful in any way. We stayed in the biggest room with two terrace and an incredible view over Port-Louis. For the ones of you that don't need bars or nighlife and want...

My wife and I stayed at Mon Choix for four nights in the middle of our 12 day visit to Mauritius. We chose it because it was different and looked peaceful but we were not really expecting much since it advertises as little more than a modest Eco B&B... a far cry from the luxury resorts around the coast. But...

Having read the reviews and wanting a stay away from the beach resorts we could not have chosen a better B&B. The location in the hills looking out over Port Louis is spectacular but what makes this property really special is the hosts. Both Jean-Michel and Joan truly want their guests to enjoy both Mon Choix and Mauritius so are...

This is an excellent, secluded and out of the city for a peaceful stay. We stayed there for 3 nights and was charmed by the friendliness of Joan and Jean Michel which made our stay very comfortable. Having your breakfast overlooking the city is breathtaking. You are surrounded by the mountains looking over the valley is just beyond belief. You have...

I've tried to book this property for four nights, provided BedyCasa with my credit card and that was it! No replies. I've needed to depart from Chicago and did not know whether I have a place to stay and whether my credit card was charged. This is not a way too run an honest business. I've got a suspense instead...

I was here for a week to do some research on the island and could not have asked for a better stay. The house is truly beautiful and the hosts are generous, knowledgeable, resourceful and kind. You stay in utter tranquility and wake to breakfast on the terrace looking down to the sea, surrounded by birdsong...and of course enjoying good...
