The taxi fare to Port Louis charged by the official taxi counter at the Arrivals Hall of the Airport is an exorbitant MRs. 1,500. There are plenty of money changers inside. The ATMs are outside the building. The cheaper alternative to Port Louis is to take the bus from the stop just outside. I did not come across any direct...

Rude and racist staff in the restaurant, they claim to offer buffer breakfast and restricting the guest not to have the second omlette .........you request them to switch on the AC or atleast the fan as the room temp is very hot, they will nod their head and after 10 minutes when you request them once again, after showing faces,...

Stayed at the hotel because it was the only one available at short notice close to the U.S embassy. The hotel is shabby but the staff is really friendly and helpful. Not much available at breakfast either. The hotel is also conveniently located neat the Port Louis bazaar which is definitely a place to visit. Had fun bargaining with the...

Simple 3 star hotel with proper bar ( with cable TV ), resturant and a small swimming pool. It is located in down town Port Louis and no question it is the best deal in town. The competition on the waterfront is much better but the price is at least 2 to 3 times higher so not good value for...

Was in PL on business. Previous visits not in PL - so first time seeking accommodation in the City. Partners in M suggested the St George as good proximity to their offices. Check in formalities were smooth, bags taken to 4th floor room which was modestly furnished. AC worked fine, but rather chose to use open window. Rooms cleaned daily,...

Room is clean, clean towels bed-sheets change daily; restaurant's food(except the local fish called marlin which very popular in Mauritius taste like bark to me) apart from this service is good, staff are friendly, I have no complaint! Another beauty is we have breakfast at the terrace and swimming pool right by the side(even it is small but we can...

Small but cozy rooms. Well behaved and attentive staff help you with a smile. Close to the Government offices and the business district. Only drawback is that can not walk around the property in the evenings due to law and order situation in the surrounding area after dark.
