Our team booked into Malawi on the recommendation of a colleague. We arrived with no expectations other than his word. We were very pleasantly surprised. We drove into a walled compound with friendly security at the entrance. As we walked up to the reception, we noticed a beautiful layout to the hotel with open and interior dining areas and 2 pools in different areas. There were plenty of shady and sunny spots with green all around. The rooms were fantastic with open showers, an unground bathtub, and such a relaxing king size bed with plush pillows and a nice comforter. There were drop-down mosquito netting around the bed that made it feel posh. The staff was friendly and helpful with everything we asked, needed, or didn’t know we needed over our 5 day stay. The General Manager and Head Chef regularly checked in on us and other guests to see how we were enjoying the food and accommodations. The Head Chef even made sure to accommodate special preferences by making specialized meals for them. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!

We recently visited latitude with my son and family friends. The restaurant staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was great and the service was quick.

The tables, menus and speedpoint payment machine were all sanitised before we used them.

Thank you Chef Paul and your team for always making us feel welcome!

Latitude 13 is located in one of the best quarters in Lilongwe, it is a quiet place with lots of walking possibilities; the hotel has all amenities for an excellent stay, a beautiful garden and shady places for a coffee or do remote work sitting under a huge tree with your laptop; a big pool invites for cooling, the hotel also includes a gym and a spa; staff is extremely nice and restaurant services are professional and respond to customer´s needs; the food is excellent with different cuisines, local, Mediterranean and Indian. The chef looks well after the customers and includes feed-backs in the menu.
Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day with free laundry services and free internet provided. The hotel is managed professionally and staff follows COVID 19 rules of distancing, wearing face masks and providing hand sanitizers.
I definitely would stay here again and recommend everybody to come and visit this hotel either for a stay or lunch and dinner.

Would not recommend taking you business guests or even yourself for a meal. Had a group of 11 international guests go for a business dinner only to wait over 2hrs for the meals. The waiter forgot orders. There was a group that came over an hour after us but managed to have their drinks, food and dessert before we had a mains. It was strange because the only patrons that seemed to be getting any decent service were white. It’s hard not to question mark.

Dear Victory K, we apologize for the bad experience you had and the delay in responding. Since you have visited, we have worked hard to work on the service quality and the speed of preparation of the meals. Training has been and continues to be done and feedback has improved considerably. Discrimination and racism are NOT tolerated at Latitude 13 and we pride ourselves in an increasing number of Malawian guests that visit our restaurant and bar and are as much appreciated as any other guest.

I cannot imagine why anyone visiting Lilongwe would want to stay any place other than the Latitude 13. I recently stayed there twice, once in a junior suite and once in a guest suite. Both were funky and had unusual designs, such as a sunken bathtub in the guest suite and two floors in the junior suite. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful.
The hotel includes a restaurant with superior food. The breakfast buffets are excellent. The menu for other meals is varied, including several vegetarian choices as well as at least a dozen pizzas. Do NOT miss the chocolate cake for dessert or the opportunity to eat outside close or next to the swimming pool.
My only recommendation would be to increase the lighting above the bathroom sinks to make it easier to see while shaving.

Definitely a gorgeous hotel. I think the staff are amazing and the rooms are really more like apartments and are beautiful. The food needs work and is too expensive and the gym is very small and often lodgers will have to wait for a machine. Otherwise very good option.

As Manager of the Musicians Raphael Loopro from Germany and Mr. P of P Square from Nigeria we had a pleasant stay. Delicious Meals, cold drinks and super service. The orange juice was really fresh - something special in the warm heart. The Wi-Fi needs an upgrade but all in all 5 stars. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Ibiza!!

We went here for dinner. The food was very nice, would suit western standards. Friendly staff and very clean and tidy. The only thing to mention was that when looking through the guest book there were quite a few comments about the management having poor customer service. Maybe this is due to the clientele they attract being one of the most expensive hotels to stay in Lilongwe. We did not experience this ourselves. We would defiantly come back for food and maybe even to stay. Zikoma

The peak of colonialism.
Classic compound living, separated from the realities of the country.
Lovely if tolove that.
But your cash tip on your evening meal, or the price if your chilled white wine bottle, will be more than the per day tip of the best game guide in the country.

The equality stinks. Bath plugs leak .... no bath. Local ladies looking to catch diplomatic partners at the pool, if that is your scene ... cool ...

This hotel is simply gorgeous! From the beautiful Architect to the simple yet satisfying food, I can't imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Lilongwe. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and offered drinks to drink. Once in my room, I was floored! What woman doesn't love a beautiful suite and bathroom?! I felt like I was in heaven. The room was beyond spacious with beautiful decorations and colors that were very calming yet unit Intimate. The bathroom was a dream come true to include a bathtub that was in the ground with a beautiful long mirror in front of it! It was so beautiful and so specious yet peaceful! I'm not sure if I loved my room or the court yard more but I did not want to leave! In the evening you will a gorgeous pool surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees and tables. The entire set makes you feel as if you are on secluded island. I am not easily impressed with hotels as I travel often but I must say: I would come back to Lilongwe and do a staycation with my husband at Latitude 13 no questions asked!

The Chef was amazing and made customized dishes for me as I am vegetarian. It was so special. Furthermore he out did himself for my birthday with a special cake and a beautiful dinner spread just for me! Although I was here on a business trip , I felt I was on vacation during my
Off time!

I highly recommend this hotel. Amina, Steven, Chris, And Hunny were some of our favorite waiters! They were lovely and so much fun!

The hotel manager is seen everyday on the property which for me is a huge plus because it shows he cares about his hotel, staff, and customers.

Most importantly the hotelwas beyond clean. Can't wait to come back!
