We spent 2 weeks in Malawi, primarily for our son's wedding. As our daughter-in-laws family live in Lilongwe we chose the Cluny lodge for its location in the city. As a family group we had 4 double rooms and as these were located in one corridor of one building it was like having a villa all to ourselves. The proprietors... More

Not only did we have a comfortable large room, great breakfasts and wonderful dinners, all for a very good price, we also had the benefit of our hosts’ kindness in so many different ways. Priceless! I usually find major shortcomings in some aspect of the facilities or services of hotels and guest houses but not in this case. I whole-heartedly... More

Clunny was perfect! I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights this October. The owners Bev and Marinus Taale are the warmest people and gave me the most amazing service! They actually go out of their way to assist in anything!.. They know the true meaning and value of excellent customer service!! The lodge is quiet, serene and... More

This is a very friendly and quite lodge close to the old town. The owners are really helpful and do everything they can to help you. Our luggage for example was delayed by one day, and they made arrangements to pick it up at the airport next day, so we could visit the city. The rooms look very good, there... More

Really friendly, nice quiet chill out lodge jam packed with interesting pictures, art and random African nic-naks. The owners - Bev and Marinus are warm and welcoming and were very helpful. The food (3 course dinner) and breakfast were lovely and obviously good quality ingredients. Great location - only a 5/10 minute walk to the crossroads (couple of shops, cafes).... More

I was blessed to stay at the Cluny Lodge for three nights in July, and would happily recommend this Lodge to anyone visiting Malawi. The rooms are so beautiful, the food fantastic, and the staff exceptionally warm and accommodating. Our hosts, Bev and Marinus Taale, made my stay a truly memorable experience. They were so warm and friendly - I... More

Traveled with a medical team to Likoma Island and stayed here before and after a Safari. This was an absolutely wonderful place to arrive at after 9 days on an island. We were greeted immeadiately by Bev and Marinus. Our accomodations were absolutley divine! I stayed in two different rooms as our stay was broken up and both were beyond... More

A co-worker and I traveled to Malawi earlier this month for business, and were pleasantly surprised to have our driver take us to Cluny Lodge. We were warmly greeted by Bev and Marinus, the owners of the Lodge who showed us around the two seperate building and show us the facilities. Being a Canadian, i would say it had a... More

Nothing bad to say about the Cluny Lodge! It's run by a lovely couple and their staff is delightful. The grounds are pretty and green and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The owner picked us up at the airport and brought us back - great service! - and helped us arrange travel within the country. Just delightful people.... More
